Yup. They are doing it for free, when u choose "Nevermind" in dialoge.

It seems like the Skeleton Radios start following me around even though I haven't paid for 'em.

As cool as those ideas are, it sounds like implementing it would be tricky. That said, if you want to make your own patch... be my guest.

I want to clarify, I have never made a mod, but was brainstorming something like this yesterday. I'm not asking for any of my ideas to come to fruition but am relinquishing them for use if wanted.

Special: Put one near the BugMaster that puts out a frequency to make your own Hivers turn against you. You then are able to take a blueprint or part from BugMaster, develop a new frequency in Research for a newfound section in Core - Radios. Reverse engineer specifically this one to use it to revert Fogmen. Maybe even something similar for Cat'Lon as well to go and use to reclaim Headless Thralls.

Radio text would pop up without interaction like casual travelling dialogue, just relative to your distance to the radio tower. Specialties ones being "Abandoned Radio Towers" with a much more close to base limit imposed upon them.

I posted this in the Kenshi discord this morning, figured I'd post it here, in case you would like to use these ideas or developments:
Added Items: Transceiver Radio [waist item], Frequency Chip(s)

Basis of Idea: Add Radio Towers in order to have some text pop up while travelling in order to aide gamer in world relevant news. Transceiver Radio works in terms of distance from Radio Tower Station. Radio Tower Station purpose depends on Host of Radio Tower. Sheks will release info on increased bandit sightings throughout the map. Holy Nation will praise Okran 24/7. Untied Cities will have non stop anti-HN propoganda. Weather reports for areas that aren't always at 100%, or even newer areas.

should have option to turn down frequency of broadcasts cause it spams my dialogue box saying the same few thing over and over

...I'll have to look at that and going to have to pick and choose which area which radio spawns where. Thanks for the feedback.

great idea but unfortunately all radios are constantly spamming in my game, and there are multiple radio npcs in bars and they are all spamming their dialogue at the same time, making it really hard to follow, even in the dialogue tab

Once I figure out a good script to make this mod look good via video.

@BootyHunter Just checked. For now, gonna roll back the changes and do a bit of further testing later down the line.

A group of bar-goes began discussing the radios. The entire group began doing one dialogue, all at once. It looked a bit silly.

Crapola doesn't exist. Its a holdover I just never got around to working with. Swamp Radio Station despite the name is not in the Swamp. Its in the burning forest.

Overland Broadcasting Center is in Iron Valleys.

Also, misc fun fact. The radios themselves actually have an item that tells you where to find the DJ. Just mug them.

Where are the Radio Stations?

There are supposed to be 3:
- Crapola Radio: It doesn't exist at game.
- Swamp Radio Station: I can't find it
- Overland Broadcasting Center.

So where exactly are Swamp Radio Station and Overland Broadcasting Center. I want to know where are located to be sure there aren't incompatibilities with any mod that adds towns that I currently use.

I like the idea alot but failed to find any radios at the bars so far. Also, the radio station in Iron Valley is almost empty with 1-2 random tech hunters patrolling about.

idea if noones mentioned it yet any chance of a story teller version of this? Lore Keeper faction. skeletons with skeleton guards, same mod but with less radio more lore friendly dialoge telling the games lore folk lore tales stories of slaves uc propaganda etc could even get some short storeies from kenshi players and add them in, and have lore keepers spawn just in bars like their hired by the cities or barman for entertainment or summit

Glad you're enjoying it. I simply applied the logic from the Fallout 3+NV news segments and just go on from there.

This mod is actually quite handy, It gives you warnings of impending attacks. Love the sarcastic hints about each nation, and it updates you on global effects, impacts you are making with each action.

yeah I got some dialogue In Squin about shark week, was random as fk, I had to to double check it and looked on the chat logs, sure enough talks about shark week.

@freedhumanity as much as I'd love to do that, mod authors in this game are quite touchy about their works. Honestly, all you have to do to make that happen is just grab the files from your online Kenshi mod folder, which is not in your game directory but the place where you steam downloads any workshop items you subscribe to. Get both files, replace the race of the radio skellies and that's it.

Would love to see this adapted to the iron drone mod.
