For real though, I essentially hand coded all the collision and movement code for everything to make it work, and then slapped the background image behind all the entities. When the player is near the center of the room, I just constantly teleport them back to the center and then teleport everything else around the player to give the appearance of them moving. You could also theoretically use the recently discovered freecam for this, but I had some issues when trying to implement that at first, so I went with this method I'd tried before.
