@iMPERIALWOLF Hey! I've been asked about this before, and from what I remember, RimPy has it's own database for these things that isn't always up to date. It will likely update eventually, but in the mean time, using the one listed here and ignoring the error will work just fine.
iMPERIALWOLF 8 SEP a las 20:00
@elsrin hey man sorry to bother you but for this mod and your transport drone, rimpy says I'm missing androids expanded as a dependency even though I have the 1.6 version of androids expanded subbed to as well as the 1.6 version of androids for rw subbed to, can you help me?

@elsrin Updated to 1.6!
elsrin 31 JUL a las 5:40
Hello! Are you thinking on upgrading this to 1.6? Thanks in advance!! :D

@bell Except for the possibility of unknown mod incompatibilities, I'd say it's likely to be safe. There's never any guarantees, but if you're unsure you can make a backup of your save.
bell 24 MAY a las 19:18
question this mod and the ones on the Androids Series list are compatible with saved games?
Xercaine  [autor] 24 ENE a las 18:15
@[AN] Mad Scientist They recharge automatically from grids that are connected to batteries.
Mad Scientist 24 ENE a las 18:12
how do you get them to auto recharge? I have been having to rely on battery packs but charge pads dont work for them at all

@Xercaine Rimpy is on version 1.2.6.28 atm. it still happens. Can I send you my log/mod list?
Xercaine  [autor] 15 JUN 2024 a las 18:11
@Ajax Are you sure you have an updated RimPy or database? I can't seem to get the same thing. The database links to firedragonmc's Androids for RW 1.5, but it's a bit outdated on the other information so in the name it says it's 1.4, but that's in name only.
Ajax 14 JUN 2024 a las 6:11
Hi, I did not use all the mods in your collection. In Rimpy it gives me this error (missing dependencies) regarding the assembly and transport drones: Androids Expanded (peptide.androidsexpanded). What should I do?
Ajax 14 JUN 2024 a las 2:08
Thanks bud!:steamsunny:
Xercaine  [autor] 13 JUN 2024 a las 8:02
@Ajax Hey, thanks for asking. RimPy now has the right reference and didn't give an error when testing, so this should no longer be a problem.
Ajax 12 JUN 2024 a las 7:04
Hi, should we still follow the Rimpy instructions mentions in the bio or is everything sorted now?
Xercaine  [autor] 22 ABR 2024 a las 11:37
@<0> Nyawul This and think tank is now updated! Please let me know if you have any problems if I missed anything.
Nyawul 16 ABR 2024 a las 19:23
glad to hear theres gonna be an update! this and think tank were essential for my android colonies awhile back
Xercaine  [autor] 16 ABR 2024 a las 5:52
@<0> Nyawul Yes, I see that Androids Expanded updated earlier than expected, so I'll get on updating this as soon as I can. Thanks for asking!
Nyawul 15 ABR 2024 a las 15:33
is there gonna be a 1.5 update at some point?
Xercaine  [autor] 26 ENE 2023 a las 3:38
@Ness(She/Her) Hey! RimPy currently gives dependency errors from its latest database, and it's been a issue for several Androids mods for some time.

The database can only be updated by the developer of RimPy, but in the mean time, if you just use the dependencies listed on Steam you can safely ignore any warnings/errors.
Venus/Cass 25 ENE 2023 a las 23:50
Hi. I'm here asking about the Complete Androids collection. I've put it through Rimpy, and it's throwing up dependancy errors.
Xercaine  [autor] 24 ENE 2023 a las 8:46
@Voyeurtaz I've changed my mind and updated all Jellypowered's drone mods, as well as many new Androids patches here: https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2921075539
Xercaine  [autor] 18 ENE 2023 a las 16:15
@Tipic_faker Good idea to try a vanilla battery, glad it worked.

The functionality for batteries is a part of Androids Expanded, and has another developer than me, as this mod is just an add-on to that one. I do agree though that there should be a patch for modded batteries.
Tipic_faker 16 ENE 2023 a las 10:31
Also it would be a good addition if you are checking the power stored in the circuit instead of checking for a battery, since there are a lot of battery mods.
Tipic_faker 16 ENE 2023 a las 6:51
@Xercaine I think I have only connected it to a big battery from vanilla expanded. I will try connecting it to a vanilla battery next time. Thank you very much.
Xercaine  [autor] 16 ENE 2023 a las 3:54
@Tipic_faker Hi! Is your power generator connected to a battery? Drones can only charge if there's one connected to the circuit.
Xercaine  [autor] 16 ENE 2023 a las 3:51
@Ando I did some digging in RimPy's database, and I think I found the issue. Currently, it overrides this mods requirements with outdated ones from 1.3. The good news is, you can set your own rules or simply ignore the warning, as long as you're following the requirements listed on Steam.

I've updated the Steam description and notified the developer of RimPy, so hopefully this will be fixed in the next database update. Thanks again for reporting and the support, I really appreciate it!
Tipic_faker 16 ENE 2023 a las 2:01
Why is my task droids not charging?
Ando 12 ENE 2023 a las 5:13
Hi @Xercaine! Sorry should have said, yes using RimPy as well. Weird, looks spot on to me. Must be their program not reading properly then, hopefully the dev can sort it!

Looking forward to seeing whatever your next mod project is :)
Xercaine  [autor] 11 ENE 2023 a las 18:15
Hey @Ando! Glad to hear you like it, and thanks for reporting! Are you also using RimPy as well? After 1.4, both mods are used as requirements depending on which version you're playing, but only 'peptide.androidsexpanded14' should be used for 1.4.

Here's a (simplified) summary of the code:
<modDependenciesByVersion>
<v1.3>
<packageId>peptide.androidsexpanded</packageId>
</v1.3>
<v1.4>
<packageId>peptide.androidsexpanded14</packageId>
</v1.4>
</modDependenciesByVersion>

This doesn't seem to work with RimPy for some reason. I'll try asking the developer about this, assuming I'm not just missing something essential.
Ando 11 ENE 2023 a las 16:48
Hey Xercaine, love your mods! I've had the same issue as @robinzilla, to clarify, it looks like your mods require Package ID "peptide.androidsexpanded", but the current ID for the 1.4 update is "peptide.androidsexpanded14"

If there's a way to tweak that, people shouldn't have any more errors flagging up :)
Xercaine  [autor] 19 DIC 2022 a las 3:58
@KnightedWarrior Thank you! Exactly why this was made, though I also threw in the Transport Drone for good measure while I was at it.
Xercaine  [autor] 19 DIC 2022 a las 3:51
@robinzilla Hey, thanks for notifying me. I did another check, as you're the second person to report a problem with RimPy, but I couldn't find anything. My guess is that RimPy might have a problem with modDependencyByVersion after the recent update.

As for the warning, as long as you have Androids Expanded 1.4, it can be safely ignored :) The files that it needs are there.
KnightedWarrior 17 DIC 2022 a las 2:46
Great mod!
Always hated having no one to help my one crafter pawn craft items until end game where I unlock advanced droids from androids expanded mod.
This should help cut down on the crafting work more.
robinzilla 13 DIC 2022 a las 15:51
I'm not sure if this is an actual issue with this mod or RimPy, but I'm using RimPy to sort my mods and it throws up a warning about this and your Transport mod not having the correct dependencies in the list with it. I have Androids Expanded for RW 1.4 in the list. RimPy seems to think your mods are still looking for the original Androids Expanded that isnt 1.4 compatible. I did start a game and played for a bit without any log errors pointing to issues with this, but I also haven't actually used any Android related things yet either.

So should I just ignore the warning as some issue with RimPy? Thanks.
Xercaine  [autor] 5 DIC 2022 a las 7:14
Hey @Voyeurtaz. Sadly no, I have enough with keeping the mods I have up to date, but thanks for asking.
Voyeurtaz 28 NOV 2022 a las 19:57
Would you consider taking over @Jellypowered's mods; Androids Expanded: Think Tank https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2592886854&searchtext=androids+expanded and Androids Expanded: Rancher Drone https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2575421945&searchtext=androids+expanded
Xercaine  [autor] 28 NOV 2022 a las 12:27
Now updated to 1.4! Thanks for the help keeping me informed on the updates. If there are any issues related to the update, please let me know!
Xercaine  [autor] 28 NOV 2022 a las 11:24
Thanks guys, appreciate the help! I will get on it updating them as soon as I can.
8015 20 NOV 2022 a las 10:33
Android Expanded has also been updated by someone else:

https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2890036704
Paroe 18 NOV 2022 a las 9:09
Cool! Im glad! Good luck with whatever you need to do.
Xercaine  [autor] 18 NOV 2022 a las 8:03
Hey @Paroe! I definitely will, assuming it's stable. Thanks for asking, I've been following their updates and will need Androids Expanded to update first, but once that's done I will update these for sure.
Paroe 18 NOV 2022 a las 7:20
Now that androids has been updated by someone else, will you update this for 1.4?
Pasaway 15 JUN 2022 a las 14:54
@ Jack: Do you have android tiers installed? That mod has a function where blacksmiths doctor androids, and I noticed it could be buggy. Sometimes my Crafter would try to doctor humans, and not only androids.
Xercaine  [autor] 18 ABR 2022 a las 15:47
Hey @Jack! Thanks for asking! I just did a check of the files to see if I missed or forgot something, but I couldn't find anything relating to your issue. The drones seem to be practically identical code-wise, besides their specializations. Do you have any medical mods that could be interfering? Could be good to know :)

@AnotherNightOwl and @CrazyOdd Thanks for the input, but as this is only an 'add-on' so to speak to Androids Expanded, that is largely outside of my capability.
Jack 2 ABR 2022 a las 12:17
I've been making good use of these drones! One issue though is that they will occasionally act like doctors- but incredibly badly - when there's no assembling to do. They don't even have a box for doctoring in the works menu so I can't stop them. Just this drone type - none of the others. Is there a known issue with this?

Could be due to one of my many other mods, of course.
CrazyOdd 1 ABR 2022 a las 7:24
A simple way to prevent them, being added to the colonist bar, is to make them animals, like most other drone mods do.
AnotherNightOwl 22 MAR 2022 a las 12:30
I think Rimsec has options in the settings that allow their bots to be hidden from the bar, as well as a way for them to not be counted as colonists. Not sure how though.
Xercaine  [autor] 15 MAR 2022 a las 8:06
Hey again @AnotherNightOwl No problem, glad it worked out! The drones are as you say counted as colonists, so to my knowledge there is sadly no real way to hide them from the colonist bar. I too feel that they get a bit crowded up there.
AnotherNightOwl 12 MAR 2022 a las 19:08
Also, is there any way I can hide the drones from my colonist bar at the top of my screen? Are the drones counted towards population?
