i like your idea but this mod is pure XML, what you want requires C# which i know nothing about.

I feel the best way to deal with the table issue would be to invert the debuff.

So instead of getting -3 mood for eating off the floor, eating off the floor is neutral.
But eating with a table gives your pawn +3 mood.

It maintains the Pawn's desire for furniture and other niceties, but adresses the issue that you just can't prevent them from eating off the floor whenever they're outside.

This mod saves me from murdering the code myself thank you!

@Kerican, I have been saying that since alpha, eating at a table should be a Positive buff, not eating without being a negative.

But yes the memes of the table eating in Rimworld have been a great joy, or death to some pawns XD

I would simply think "Ate at a Table" should be a small Buff, and Ate Without a Table should simply just be neutral.

I like how many mods remove it, but you instead made it a buff

There is a mod (I think it's Alpha Genes) that adds a gene that adds "the immense mental fortitude to survive the horrors of eating withouta table!"

Also take it from someone who also enjoys eating "on-the-go" irl, but may have a few years on the younger crowd: Not eating at a table may seem fun, but in the end it's not fun because #1, you gotta clean up trails, and #2 you tend to choke more eating on the go than at a table.

Honestly? As long as you own a table on the map? I would prefer the pawns travel half way across it to eat than get a errant mood debuff :P

I mean, I get it - honestly, i don't understand the realism; but I do understand that the mechanics really messed up even in gamified terms. If you place out tables for pawns to eat at half the time they'll still end up with the debuff even though they literally could just walk to the table and sit down :/

@Nysch i eat without a table irl, and i enjoy it.

Could we maybe just get the pawns to actually USE the tables we place for them instead of getting the debuff when we have tables out anyway :P

As someone who uses tables for keeping things and tends to just hold my plate or put it on my lap, the fact that this incurs a mood penalty in Rimworld always baffled me. Seeing this mod made me smirk, and I'll remember it exists if I ever decide to try just making myself in the game, haha.

@AngleWyrm The original version of the mod has 15 Buff, which is quite rad and its actually made for memez.
but since i liked the idea after a while i decided to nerf it form 15 to 3, which is not game breaking
