Does not work for me either; have mod, above dei but simply nothing happens..

No starting unit sizes cannot be changed without editing startpos. That is very difficult to do. You'll just have to ignore that, unfortunately.

the starting units of hastati still only have two hundred men? is there a fix?
Jonh Torso Torsio 19. mai kl. 12.33
it is not working for me

Can anybody double check and confirm this crash?
Chrissant  [skaper] 7. mai kl. 18.08
That's strange.. this mod doesn't have anything that should conflict with future updates.

That makes sense, thanks so much :)

main_unit_tables is the one that updates unit strength. You must make sure it overrides other mods that do the same. add @@_ in front of the table name to ensure it only overwrites a specific part.

I've tried playing around with the unit strength/numbers with other units for my own mod on PFM, but the unit numbers in game don't seem to change for me. Which table(s) did you use to change the unit strength/numbers for this mod? Thanks and great mod btw :)

No.. sorry. Anybody can make such a mod though. It's really not that hard.

Are there any plans to apply this to the Hastati of the Rise of the Republic? As they still read at 200. Love the mod for the main campaign
Chrissant  [skaper] 27. okt. 2023 kl. 5.05
That's true. I had to make the decision to just leave that be because otherwise this mod creates compatibility issues every other month. I know it ruins the immersion and gameplay a bit, but do take comfort in the fact that the AI doesn't use the population system anyways. If you make the game difficult enough, it's really not that big of a difference.

300 man units only draw 200 manpower from the local population upon recruitment.
Chrissant  [skaper] 20. okt. 2023 kl. 2.45
However simply making the hastati unit line 300 men is somewhat acceptable, considering other faction rosters do occasionally have similar units. Rhodes for example has a 300 man 28 armor heavy spear unit, in my memory.
Chrissant  [skaper] 20. okt. 2023 kl. 2.44
As the description says, yes. The reason is simple, 300 principes means the entire line which upgrades from it (late principes, legionnaries, legionnary cohort) must also be 300 men, and that just makes game so easy to the point it's boring to an undebatable extent.
Airborneguy 19. okt. 2023 kl. 9.29
Wait so only Hastati are 300, not Principes?
Airborneguy 19. okt. 2023 kl. 9.05
Yes of course
Chrissant  [skaper] 19. okt. 2023 kl. 5.17
are you using it with dei?
Airborneguy 18. okt. 2023 kl. 17.53
Ihave this mod at the very top of my modlist and still cant recruit 300 unit Armies
Chrissant  [skaper] 4. nov. 2022 kl. 5.57
DEI battles become laggy if you have more than 10k units anyways. The limit is there so the battle doesn't crash. I think your best compromise will be 40 units per army. There is a youtube guide which shows you how to do it step by step.
n.pedrazalis 4. nov. 2022 kl. 4.16
Thank you very very much , i havent seen that mod i will see where it is. thank you for conside it i hope maybe one day you have time to make it. because i want it to be compatible with DEI. and also this solution would be nice since even if you have the mod with 40 units per army in case of reinforcements there is a limit of 80 i guess units to field the battle field. and also well my idea is also because i tried another mod for dei with 400 infantry per unit and it laggs a lot
Chrissant  [skaper] 4. nov. 2022 kl. 2.35
I'll consider it. Your idea has been suggested hundreds of times before, what people did as an alternative was to use 41 units per army. I highly, highly recommend you give that a try. It is very easy to do for yourself. It changes the game and allows you to field 8000 legionnaries if you want.

Hello please i would suggest a mod modification for all factions i would like to be rome more accurate in numbers only and to compensate all factions would have same modifications

I would suggest swordsman and spearman size of 300
missiles units 220 to 300 depending on the quality
cavalry units 200

During caesars age to 5,280 men so legionaires
it would be 294x 18 = 5292 legionari
and 2 slots for cavalry = each one of 200 would be 400

so infantry would be 5292
and cavalry 400

Please i would love you to make this mod

Welcome.
Lady Dimitrescu 11. apr. 2022 kl. 12.51
I love all your mods thanks
Chrissant  [skaper] 1. mars 2022 kl. 3.49
I updated the mod and removed population changes because it is simply going to conflict with base DEI population scripts.
Chrissant  [skaper] 28. jan. 2022 kl. 21.48
I believe it's an issue with overriding population settings with other mods. I really can't do much about it. Tbf, this mod was never intended to be used when playing as Rome cus, it just makes the game extremely easy.
COMRADE MUTTONCHOPS 28. jan. 2022 kl. 18.34
Very good mod, only issue is recruiting hastati still only requires 200 plebs, so it seems they find another 100 random people hiding in the woods during recruitment
Chrissant  [skaper] 24. okt. 2021 kl. 4.53
Hence the optional nature of this mod. Only meant as something to play against, not play as. :)
Varrox 23. okt. 2021 kl. 23.48
While i like the Idea, it is like you said Op as fuck. Since all very heavy Infantry are only 200 Men strong too still give them some shortages over the weaker but more numerous medium Infantry.
If you want a more numerous Frontline as the Romans you were forced too turn to Auxiliaries which i must say works for me just fine.

Its a nice Idea but it seems not nessecary to me so i am not gona use it but i still encourge you to keep modding changes into the game. Since it only can enhance the expirience.

PS. First Pic is great
Chrissant  [skaper] 22. okt. 2021 kl. 4.03
lol. this mod is op as fuck but oh well. I had to do it. In my experience with this mod enabled alongside stronger Rome I cannot win against them unless I am carthage or the seleucids.

the first pic made my day
