any chance for option to make tofu protein but not meat? like eggs or milk, to use it in recipes that need protein but not meat specific so they be vegetarian.

Even after setting it to "count as vegetable" then restarting, my vegan pawns seems to still get the "Ate meat" debuff after consuming food containing tofu.

Please try unsubscribing and resubscribing. I'm not having any issues on my end. I've checked my version vs the copy I have downloaded from Steam and both work.

After the update, I cannot enter the game. The following are some related error logs.

Thanks for the report. You're correct the settings no longer appear in the XML Extensions list. I'll work on a fix for this.

For whatever reason i cannot find the mod for the normal AND XML menu's and therefore can't make the tofu vegetarian (which was the whole reason why I got the mod since I needed a 'protein' for the vegan colonists for travel meals). It's not even a lack of options it just completely does not appear in any menus besides the mod add/remove menu.

Vanilla Plants Expanded - More Plants adds a patch that allows for creation of soy milk with the VCE - S soybeans.

But it would seem the patch would only activate when VCE - S is installed. I was wondering if a similar patch could be made when both this mod and VPE - MP is active?

The <foodType> node in the Tofu ThingDef is always set to "Meat" no matter which setting you select in the menu. It seems like it is only changing the thingCategory.

Unsure if intended or issue on my end, but eating raw tofu with "animal personhood" meme, whether xml settings is set to count as meat or vegetable, get the negative buff ate meat

- Updated description states that Vanilla Expanded Framework is required. Why? Because they gave us permission to implement their soybeans from Sushi, copied exactly, which rely on some custom code in the framework.
