Just a suggestion. When holding ALt (searching for items) the character should stop running. Like he was looking for something thus moving slower.

@PipMagnet Yes, I know that the implementation can be very difficult. Coding is hard =)

I recently saw a video with a new foraging system, and it will work approximately the same as in your mod with the additions I described - small icons will appear above objects on the ground in the player's field of view.

@p6kocka The line shown in the example images is just the iso cursor. The mod displays a small box with the item icons either at the location of the cursor when the player is not aiming, or at the top of the iso cursor when the player is aiming. So as of right now, the mod itself doesn't draw any lines to the ground it's just the vanilla iso cursor. With that said, if the icon display box is not lining up with the top of the iso cursor in 4k resolution, that is indeed a bug I want to fix. I unfortunately don't have a 4k monitor to test it, but I'll see if I can find somebody to help me test it on higher resolutions.

@Azazellz I do hope to add additional options to allow for the search radius to be expanded beyond a single square, and to allow for the search area to be centered on the player rather than the cursor. Both of these options add some hidden complexity and there are some challenges with doing them that I am not entirely sure are solvable by a mod. I think even if I can't solve the challenges I'll eventually add the options with the caveat that some things will just work in ways that aren't realistic. I chose not to focus on these options for the first release so that I could get at least some form of easier-to-use system in place. Thank you for the feedback

For 4k resolutuion it doesn´t show the line which connects the icon with the ground. Is it fixable pls?

It seems to me that the mod should work a little differently: not by hovering the cursor, but in automatic mode, in a certain radius from the player.

After all, if you hover over an item, you have already found it, and adding an icon to it is not so important.
But for finding small objects on the ground, highlighting icons will be extremly useful.

After the update, I wondered why there were no car keys on the ground.
But then I remembered that they are now made as 3D objects, and they are veeeeery small.
