Hello, question - do the candles have Darklight version?

It's a fire meditation spot. At least my code says it is, but let me know if i somehow didn't f that up. Should be max 8 to an area at range 6 or so

i don't know if this exists for vpe but i think there is a flame type meditation and the candle would be genius to give that. still gonna use this mod but i would love the candle if it doesn't do it already

BIG change: Candles are a real thing now. This is how I always envisioned them to work and finally got it done. They can be placed on top of furniture, etc, but now are an actual object/item that can be built. Minifiable, sell-able, buy-able, etc.

NO new resource (like wax) or tech (like candlemaking) just chemfuel and complex furniture research required.

If this update completely screws up your game- the OLD file is still in the mod: change the *.TXT to *.XML and then you will have both styles of candles.

If you delete the new RealCandle.XML def that is fine too- but then also delete the Patch_CTraders.xml in the patch folder.

tested v1.6, all is ok that I can see.

Tested with v1.5, all is working.

Good suggestion. Done. For both ritual and meditation spots.

Beware, it's possible to place them in inaccessible places likely now, so that may cause problems. I guess people just need to be mindful of what they're doing.

do you think you could make it so that you could place meditation spots under other furniture so that they can "use" chairs or other furniture while meditating?

Of course that would be possible, but likely not through XML as the part of the code that feeds in to defining situations that have those mood buffs/debuffs is in the assembly. The buffs themselves can easily be modified in XML once defined.

I'm looking to request a mod that allows platonic bed sharing for Spouse Only - Strict type colonies. This could also apply to more lenient doctrines. This would be different from the "shared bed with someone I didn't want to" debuff, and would prevent anything 'happening' between two colonists if they actually like each other.

If nothing else, I wanted to know if it was possible, at least?

Your colonist looks lovely, and so do your candles. Incense would be wonderful to have too.

Many religions have them in RL, but that could make for some good (ideology) style/ deco [images.fineartamerica.com] as well for bathrooms [st.depositphotos.com] or hot-springs I guess.

Just a quick patch to allow same treatment as Meditation Spot for the Ritual Spot too.

@vex: well now you have your choice of either or both! I like the invisible spots next to a candle for many of my pawns.

@ducky's nana: I think this mod is finally exactly where I wanted it. Was my first mod and I've gotten a lot better manipulating xml.
