Ahhh, yeah totally makes sense!

And thank you!

@tubular, no I'm not doing an ATC version -- it just double the amount of code I need to maintain. I'll see about updating for the new consoles.

@into, thanks!

@1 [Jargon]
---

@2 AutoLCD

seems to cause trouble as Jargon is trying to use screen=2

Hey, any chance we can get an update for the new "Console Blocks"? Script currently only generates text for half the screens, at least on the Console Module LCD variety

Love this script! Any chance of getting Air Traffic in a PB as well?

Which number you put depends entirely upon which screen you want to use, and is only required for blocks with multiple displays.

You should write that most LCDs using @0 and not @1 in the description!

Galile0, yes it works in cockpits. You have to add the tag to the cockpit name (like an LCD), and then also add the screen and tag to the custom info. If you still have problems, feel free to jump on the Discord and we can help you more there.

Any way this could work for control seat/station displays? It seems to only detect LCDs and decorative block display. Tried the @1 [Jargon] tag too. Don't work either... Love the mod BTW i'm definitely spamming it onto my future builds

Mantha, I'm glad you got it working. Yeah, the screens are listed in the terminal window in the same order as they are numbered. The first screen is 0, and it goes from there. :)
Mantha 24. juli 2022 kl. 17:12
Nevermind, I tried entering "@0 [Jargon]" and it worked.
Mantha 24. juli 2022 kl. 17:05
In the Custom Data I have @2 [Jargon], since 1 is the keyboard screen.

I'm trying to get this to run on the Large Display of the programmable block containing the script, but it keeps giving me an error:
"Caught exception during execution of script:Object reference not set to an instance of an object"

@LuNa Very cool! I'm looking forward to seeing it!

most likely gonna be posting my Cargo/refinery ship here soon!! I have included this script along with a couple others and will be sure to not only link it in the required items, but i'll also post the ship link in here!

@Shopping Cart, nice build! I remember looking at it last year when you posted this comment. I thought I had replied but I guess not. Sorry about that.

@MonPetitOiseau Thanks! I hope it works well for you!

Hey, this script is awesome! I included it in my mobile base build, in conjunction with MMaster's Automatic LCD's and they just look so good together. It really adds life to the control room in a way that I didn't know it was going to! It's a subtle thing, but those are often the best! If you want to check it you can see it here https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2568431399
MonPetitOiseau 19. maj 2021 kl. 10:57
definitely what we need to add more life to our builds
Patrick  [ophavsmand] 4. maj 2021 kl. 19:46
@popetouching I don't really have any way to check. I don't expect that it does. I routinely ran this on most of my ships on Sigma Draconis and never had any complaints. (Note that a single PB can control multiple LCDs and blocks.) Anyway, if anyone has any problems, just let me know. I can do some optimization.
popetouching 4. maj 2021 kl. 14:10
I'm assuming it probably doesnt, but does this impact server performance terribly?
Patrick  [ophavsmand] 3. maj 2021 kl. 14:13
@Willm1324 Awesome!
Willm1324 3. maj 2021 kl. 14:12
All of my yes, now I can replace useless screens with something more interesting, thanks.
Patrick  [ophavsmand] 3. maj 2021 kl. 9:13
@Mr.Simplex, thanks! Yeah, this is something I wrote several years ago to use as a screen saver at work. This is the 5th place I've ported it to. I love procedurally generated content :)
Mr.Simplex 3. maj 2021 kl. 5:14
Funnily enough, I posted something similar a couple of months ago on the workshop. But yours is much better, I like how the script assembles random jargon instead of using predefined terms like mine does. Well done :selike:
