Update: No gameplay changes. Mod converted to SQL to ensure better compatability across all my Historical Religions mods. If you need the previous version to continue a save, a download link is at the bottom of the description.

I like your this very much. May I help you translate it into Chinese? My friends who can't read English are interested it. I have translated Civ5 MOD before. http://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=223084663

Most forms of Tibetan Buddhism fall under Vajrayāna, which is a more esoteric approach to Mahayana Buddhism. Monophysitism and Oriental Orthodoxy are somewhat interchangeable as well, I chose Oriental Orthodoxy as I believed it would be more recognizable.

PS under Historical Religions, you may want to add a Monophysitism.

Its great to have 50+ religions in a game, but very sadly, the inherent mechanics of Civ V make impossible to founded more than one. If the game offers you the option to create a new religion everytime a Great Prophet appears......woh, your mods could reaching a whole new level.
Either way, you make an awesome work!!

Very good!

I suppose making them distinctive would be difficult, though I use flags instead of civ symbolys and the other mod I mentioned (calypso's) colored the vanilla religions as well. But do as you will I guess.

Well, I’m purposefully trying to imitate the style of the religion icons in the non-modded game. Although I’m not against doing colored versions, I personally prefer the symbols being simple silhouettes (as this works better at the smaller icon sizes and blends well with the civ symbols). The problem with this, though, is that all my religion mods together result in 64 different icons, which, if you’re just doing a colored silhouette, becomes hard to give them all distinct colors.

Why is there still no color? I'd use your mods over calypso's in a heartbeat if they weren't so monochrome.

Okay, fixed the picture.

Actually, checking the files, I realized what I did. The icons are in alphabetical order, as that's the order the game sorts the text keys by default. However, last minute I changed the text files so that Theravada would show up first in in game (instead of listing them alphabetically).

Ah, I was confused by the presentation here. I assumed the icons were in the same order as the listing of the sects.
Tomatekh  [auteur] 31 mrt 2014 om 18:03
Didn’t I set it to Wheel icon = Theravada, sitting Buddha icon = Mahayana, Viśvavajra icon = Vajrayana?

I'm interested in why you've given Mahayana the Dhammachakra icon, since Theravada is the oldest/most conservative of the sects.

I'd have given Mahayana an image of Budai or Guanyin.

Not at the moment. I only really plan to do three or four more denomination packs (two of which are half complete). When they're done, I'll probably do a "Historical Religions Deluxe" release that has everything. Otherwise, I’m not entirely sure people would want to split the religions into individual denominations. The main mod is getting a little overboard as it is (with 54 religions after the next update).

Any plans to incorporate into the main mod? Or are you going to keep it seperate? (or a Historial Religions Deluxe mod is in the works :) )
