Works great. And it worked even though I started with the first chapter.

Hi OZZO, I see you asked the same question on the 100% Resin Guide. On that page search "irretrievable resin" or "Resin 24" (it should be right after that one). I believe it's after you escape the zombie-filled train cars, around where you start seeing headcrabs. My addon simply moves it outside the Xen growth and drops it right onto the middle of the floor of the hallway, so it shouldn't be hard to miss.

Where is the "1 broken, now fixed!" resin?
Could you describe or post a screenshot please?
DrBonifarz 12 febr. 2023 la 6:43
Works like a charm, although I started from the beginning, and not from chapter two. It's such a nice addition for a second playthrough clearing achievements on hard difficulty. Thanks for this, Grumble X2

Concerto: There are no dumb questions. But as far as I undrestood, the saveslot retains the information on enabled addons, so no, you have to start over. But you can start from any chapter, or even use the console to jump to a specific map, as suggested below.

this is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ cool. I'd love to see more intricate tools added to the game that make sense within the half life universe.

@Concerto Just saw this, to use this on an existing campaign, try enabling the console and using the addon_play command as described on the Campaign+ mod page:

So I'm sorry for the possible dumb question, do you have to re-start a new game entirely and start over to get this to work? Or can you already have a game save, download this workshop addon, enable it, then load your save? I'm in ch5 and it aint working when I try to enable and load
StellaMoon 17 ian. 2022 la 14:02
it'd be cool, but if it did, the whole rewiring section before the elevator would be impossible, because there's resin near there.
Grumble X2  [autor] 17 ian. 2022 la 8:37
@Qwarz_ No, it shouldn't alert Jeff. Though now that you mention it, I kind of wish it would :)
StellaMoon 9 ian. 2022 la 13:03
does this alert jeff when it beeps?

Thanks, Martin! Happy to confirm the completeness of your guide in return :)
Martin the Kiteboy 28 iul. 2021 la 7:59
Can confirm it works and that it works well. Bravo! I am only slightly disappointed that this did not exist before, and happy that you did not find any more resin, though I would be happy to update the guide. :KSmiley:

@kanastika That worked, thank you

@mnementh9999 Did you try starting a new game from Chapter 2 The Quarantine Zone instead of the beginning? I have heard there is an issue where you have to do that for all campaign addons in general, and honestly that's what I've always done. This mod doesn't change anything in the intro chapter anyway. Let me know if that helps you.
mnementh9999 4 apr. 2021 la 19:29
I subscribed to this and enabled it in my addons menu. I then started a new game with the 'play with addons' button, and it showed this addon as being enabled. I don't hear any beeping when I have the multitool in hand, though, even when I'm right next to a resin. Am I doing something wrong?
Grumble X2  [autor] 2 apr. 2021 la 21:35
@LeftoverAtom Sorry I'm not sure what you mean by storing all the resin positions. Store them where or how exactly? Could you give an example?
Grumble X2  [autor] 2 apr. 2021 la 21:31
@RoNaLd_RaYgUn Try enabling the console and using the addon_play command as described on the Campaign+ mod page:
https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2307067046
Atoms 2 apr. 2021 la 13:36
Is it possible to store all the resin positions when the map loads in?
RoNaLd_RaYgUn 2 apr. 2021 la 9:17
Can I start using this mid game?
Grumble X2  [autor] 2 apr. 2021 la 0:47
@LeftoverAtoms Special code is needed to make it work for any map, which I simply did not have time to figure out how to integrate. Custom maps tend to be shorter experiences anyway, where resin is more concentrated and easily found. I'm pretty busy but if I find time I will consider creating a generic version.
Atoms 1 apr. 2021 la 20:24
Why does it only work for the campaign?
MOSQUiTE!! 31 mart. 2021 la 21:21
Lmaoo this reminds me of the PKE Meter from Ghostbusters
sonikku dammit 31 mart. 2021 la 15:17
I actually like this a lot and will endorse it on the More Resin mod page when I'm done testing
Grumble X2  [autor] 31 mart. 2021 la 12:41
@Dragoon_deeznuts It says in the description, just hold the multitool, if there is resin nearby you will hear beeping, you don't have to press anything. If you don't hear anything, there is no resin nearby or you already collected it.
LeChode 31 mart. 2021 la 11:05
how does this work tho.
Grumble X2  [autor] 28 mart. 2021 la 10:46
@Carrot Just to confirm, I started a campaign with both this mod and the More Resin mod and as expected, it detects the new red-tinted resin. Pretty fun so far! The new resin still had me scratching my head or a few minutes, definitely requires you to contort a lot more in real life. I wouldn't have found these in a million years if not for the detector :)
Grumble X2  [autor] 28 mart. 2021 la 9:48
That is also for the main campaign, right? Theoretically this should work with any other campaign addons. It will not work with custom maps, though.
Cool Gamer 28 mart. 2021 la 8:58
is this compatable with the more resin mod?
