It's part of UWE. I believe this mod is also included in UWE, so you don't need to subscribe to this. The author of UWE changed it such that authentic building supplies are required for construction of all hive buildings.

not sure whats causing it as I have a lot of mods to include UWE installed. But even the walls require authentic building supplies. All the buildings aswel. Any idea what other mod could be causing this? I have a long going hive playthrough and I cant build any buildings :(

Hey AngryOscar, thats a Different mod. This mod uses regular building supplies unless you've patched it somehow.

says requires :"authentic building supplies" doesn't seen to take the regular ones. How do I make Authentic ones?

They just use standard building materials available via shops or through stone processors

Had a small issue where i built a hive gate 2 and kept it shut, but every time i loaded the game, characters would walk right through it as if it was open. i had to open it and re-close it again in order to get collision working properly.

At first this seemed like a fix for the rest of the play session, but after awhile i noticed people walking through it again even after no re-loading, so i think something might be buggy with the gate.

okay love the buildings but the placement is janky af even when the buildings are far away from each other it says they're too close to one another... maybe remove the space requirement fully so we can place them when they're touching??

Hey, I built quite a large Hive city using the building and walls but once I added the walls in I had a huge FPS drops whenever I was looking at them, anyone else having the same issue? Are they perhaps not optimized (high polycount, messy mesh)?

the custom flat hive commune hut interior does not count as inside a building. florescent lights say "must be placed inside building" and humans burn alive during acid rain, even when inside. as well, light doesnt act the same as in other interiors. I dont know if this has been mentioned before

more walls? maybe something like medieval japanese walls but in the hive style?

Can I ask how the error was fixed so that I could fix it in my assembly, because I have not yet found a normal way to update existing mods in the assembly.

This does sound like a nice mod. I'll definitely give it a try on my next playthrough.

However, I would mention that it is quite confusing that there exists two separate Kenshi mods that do different things, yet have the exact same name. Moreover, despite the other "Hive Buildings" mod (by CamelSpyd3r) being published back in 2019, it seems like it still works as intended. So it's not like the name of a defunct/obsolete mod was co-opted...

I've become familiar with countless mods for different games over the years. But I don't recall many (if any) cases of two different mods by different authors that do different things, yet have 100% identical names. Usually, they're at least off by a letter or have a suffix or prefix.

When testing and playing with the mod I have never encountered this issue. Are you sure it's coming from this mod? It has happened a few times in the past that I have received comments about crashes caused by my mods only for it to later be revealed it was something unrelated. I suppose it's possible an update has broken the mod somehow? but it seems unlikely.

lvl 2 and 3 walls maybe?

would it be possible to get a really big building like 1 of those ash domes thingys or something and turn it into a hive fortress/castle?

Also the hive fences are causing crashes when connected to the hive gates. I can send you my crash logs if it helps.
