I agree with @ParasiticSquid, I think this mod is abandoned. I don't have the know-how as a modder to update this or make compatible with SOS2 or SRTS (I do have some modding skill but it's mostly basic xml code). If a more experienced modder picks this up I will be very happy, but unless that happens maybe stop spamming 1.4 requests.

Guys.. I think it might be dead. Last update according to github was 11 months ago and some issues like the SOS2 and vanilla expanded ones are still present in the mod as a result. Traveling to another planet deletes the inside of pocket dimension even if on a ship and chemfuel or helixien gas ponds/geysers still spawn in the pocket dimension. The first one sucks big time, the second one is easy to fix by filling the holes.

I love this mod since it's so useful but the SOS2 issue alone is a gamebreaker for me personally since I often store alot of stuff in the pocket to make room for a smaller size ship and it just goes.. poof, gone

I only have one problem with this mod, srts and sos2 shuttles. landing or bombing runs have issues selecting the world tile through the pocket dimension tile that is in the same place as the wanted tile. If the location for the pocket dimension could be set to around the tile or in some ocean tile or a tile of my choosing I could happily bring my genetics lab onto my sos2 ship again XD

(I LOVE THIS MOD)

If I missed something simple and stupid that fixes the issue please let me know!

Probably a compatibility issue but is anyone else having trouble with the ventilation not working between the pocket dimension and the world?

An unfortunate bug I found was the SOS2 feature of traveling to another plant seems to delete all pocket dimensions, even those within the confines of the ship. I don't know if there is a way to have a patch for it where the dimensions stay or not, but any help would be awesome.

@Visoth if you use the Terraform Rimworld mod, you can remove overhead mountains, allowing any area of a box to be considered Outside.

Is there anyway to add an area inside these pocket dimensions that is considered "outdoors"? Sick of my pawns getting "stuck indoors" debuffs and would love something like an artificial sun to provide them the "outdoor experience" that is so overrated.

Not sure if a bug, but my portal spawned with both helexian gas and chemfuel pond from VFE Power.

Another cool idea if it was really a "pocket" dimension, like a wearable utility belt with an active ability that summons/opens the portal for few hours or so. Or maybe a Psycast.

the space inside considered as roofed or roofless?
I want to build a pocket energy supplier with atomic mod, which need to build a large cooling tower in a roofless place.
It's an idea from one Rick and Morty's show. Rick build a mini universe using as a infinite battery, and all the lives in that universe are born to provide energy for Rick.

I would like to suggest a way to add a artificial sun to the dimension. No idea how you'd explain it lore-wise, but your dimension pocket would have its own sun that works the same as if you were outdoors. Plants grow, solar panels generate electricity...etc etc...Maybe some artificial wind as well?

When I imagine a "pocket dimension" I imagine something similar to when Nick Fury from the Marvel Cinematic Universe is on holiday in outer space, but he's in a simulation of relaxing on a sunny beach.

Additionally, maybe a "thermostat" for your dimensions? Allowing you to have full easy to use control over the temperature in the dimension. I know the vent works, but heating up a giant dimension costs a lot of electricity. A base-temperature for the dimension would be great.

I forgot to add: to fix the guns emptying mags but not shooting anything you have to save and reload the game, once you've got the colonists you need to shoot out of the PD.

I think I found an incompatibility between Pocket Dimensions and Combat Extended: certain guns (from my mishap Anti-Mech Rifle from Android Tiers and R-15 Charge Rifle from Vanilla) fail to actually shoot bullets when exiting a PD, instead emptying their mag with no outcome. (I use PD to transport various colonists around the map when doing quests and stuff, I hope that's not a massive problem or maybe I've misread something in this mod's description)

What would happen if one abandoned the main camp to roam around the world with the mod "set up camp" to recreate a Nomad lifestyle?

On in another words, literally abandoning and erasing the main camp while having everything on an pocket dimension except a few colonist out traveling around the world, only making a stop to "set up a camp" for some time and keep moving after a few days.

If you have android tiers you can place a pocket dimension into your freezer, fill it with servers, research tables and android pods. This allows you to massively and easily skill up the androids, force them to do research 24/7 and never worry about your server room setting everything on fire.
