The 3 details I noticed in the 9/29/2022 update

2: Back air gives momentum upon hitting the ground
3: Guillotine now costs 3 instead of 4 ( HA HA HA HA HA!!!)
If there's anything else changed let me know! Regardless, as a Saffron main at heart, I'm super happy for these changes, and hope to see more love for this character in the future!

Same problem as 5AngryOrange, just got a crash.

One more thing! Do you think you could make it so that the mana regen from jab works on boss stages (like Pyribbit or Marx, for example)? In those stages, hitting the boss with jab doesn't seem to do anything.

Saffron's a blast to play as, but I'm having game crashes when I try to switch to certain skins. Still, fantastic character!

I love how well you made the spells work in a platform fighting environment, it's just a blast to play. Unfortunately though, I seem to be encountering the same problem as FireGuard743, where attempting to access the 14th skin crashes the game.

I love how she plays. Great job designing her kit!

The bug has been squished, enjoying slinging spells.

We're looking into the issues, I wouldn't be able to tell you why it's happening though.

Hey does anyone get the bug where you can't play with friends online with the mod? It works locally but not online..

The best information on this kind of thing I've found is it maybe being caused by there being a connection issue on the developers end when publishing an update. Going off of the plusle and minun character and just assuming it is the same issue and going off of the patch note at least.

I've already done dozens of different things over multiple days to make absolutely sure of:

That both me and my opponent have both the absolute exact same files (version the same, file size same to the byte, manual removal from hard-drive then re-download, copying and giving files to other person both ways, rebooting/letting time pass at various points in above for both computers, etc.), our connection was perfectly fine, and we have the most recent version.

It seems to be triggering a false positive for not the same version no matter what. When this occurred with others it was only fixed after either any update or a patch for this (not sure which). Hate to complain about a bug the workshop comment section. But even after asking around I got no help and I adore this character so I'm kinda out of options. Hopefully its fixable easily, on either end. Example of this happening then being fixed is with the samurai knight shovel knight skin, and of it not being fixed with john eggburt.

I can't seem to play this character online anymore after the most recent update, is this a universal issue or just me?

@Theamazingspiral it's because it's actually the special button, not the strong attack button.

Great character, but trying to cast a spell using the strong attack button doesn't work for me. Does anyone else have this issue?

How did I not see this earleir? This character is awesome!!

I was waiting for Saffron since her announcement, and I'm glad to say it paid off! She's a ton of fun. That said, I have a small gripe with her current v1.1 iteration in my couple hours of trying her out. Her uncharged f-smash seems incredibly powerful for how quick it is, making it easily spammable and not very rewarding.

That's the kind of ad i like.

Small criticism; Love the character, they feel great to play, but the victory theme sounds nothing like the victory theme in OSFE. It sounds out of tune.
