hey, sorry for late reply. My steam broke and didn't notify me of any new messages since last month. It finally crashed and when I started it, I had like 60 notifications.

I'm told from l4d2 developers that a feature has been approved that I asked for that will allow us to do more advanced things like loading melee scripts without the mission file.

However, I've also been told there is no ETA of this feature so it could be awhile.

It works! You have definitely fixed the crashing issue and it appears to work fine with most of my unlockers so that's fun. I'm assuming for this mod to function the official weapons must be in the melee list for their spawns to be replaced. I was wondering if there was a way for the spawns to be replaced without any official weapons being in the melee list for that campaign. Thanks for the fix!

Hey, Can you test it again?

I found a stupid mistake I did in the auto load processor system for the MSC that could cause an infinite loop crash.

This caused crashes with srcds, but I don't know if it's the cause of the client crash.

So both the master script and this addon work fine independently. No crashes. However, when they are used in tandem, this results in the crash to desktop from the campaign loading screen.

I have deduced that I have no idea whats causing the crashes. I removed all of my addons and the problem is persisting with only the addons I have added being your scripts. Thanks for the help btw

Thats the thingg I have no idea whats causing the crash. None of my mods contain any vscripts. They onl;y add models, sounds, melee scripts, and modified mission scripts to the game. I don't know why there would be any conflicting scripts

As far as I know. I haven't had time to test it with all of my mods but I figured the random melee spawns would allow the custom weapons to spawn more frequently. Unfortunately the farthest I got was the loading screen before the game crashed to desktop. I looked into it and couldn't figure out what was conflicting.

I haven't tried this with every one of the mods I've uploaded, but so far whenever you try to start a campaign with my mods (mission scripts + weapon pack) and this script with the master script, it stops loading midway and crashes the game. I am unsure what is causing this, but I'm assuming its the Master Script conflicting with something on my end. I only assume this because I extracted your script and paired it with a different scriptmode_addon.nut (PopTheseFools/Rectus's version) and It appeared to work fine with the custom weapons.

A crash for the person with your mod or a crash for other people that join them?

A crash with an error or just a CTD?

More specifically, when paired with some of the custom weapon mods I've uploaded it causes a crash.

Huge fan of this script! It works beautifully with official weapons, but I was wondering if there was a way to get this to work with custom melee weapons as well?

The mapper chooses what melee weapons are loaded by default in the campaign.

This script randomizes melee weapons that are loaded into that specific campaign.

I do have another melee script that works with this that will load all melee weapons to official campaigns.

The default of a weapon_melee_spawn is to use what the mapper set it to use. This script forces all spawners to use all precached melee scripts.
