thanks for making this, i agree the pricing on some of the items is baffling and not in a good way... the latest beta on github works with this too incase people are wondering.

The Rimworld wiki has a pretty comprehensive guide on XML modding, I'd look for that before anything else so you have some idea of how it all works.

I don't know why you'd need that, unless you intend to steal my work... but it should be in your Steam/steamapps/workshop folder somewhere with other Rimworld mods.

Since this is just a simple XML patch, as long as SOS2 doesn't get a MAJOR overhaul, this should still work even through Rimworld updates, so no need to worry about that.

just don't stop supporting him, please

thanks for the patch, because it reduces the cost of the ship, and flying over the planet is much better, because it's easier to build a ship, you can also land on an enemy settlement, and fire at it from bunker turrets and warheads from modifications
QWERTYww  [ophavsmand] 9. aug. 2022 kl. 16:32
Oh it absolutely simplifies things, but on the other hand, you won't be wasting your advanced components on DOORS anymore.
Abrikos75 6. aug. 2022 kl. 4:26
but it probably simplifies the game with building a ship Save Our Ship 2
Abrikos75 4. aug. 2022 kl. 23:59
An excellent modification, just lowers the cost of the ship, but also makes the construction more balanced and cheaper if you build locks and walls
BloodyRain2k 16. okt. 2021 kl. 12:57
I mean I obviously didn't do that in space, just before takeoff.
No idea if the mod explodes if I were to do it in space, but I wouldn't that surprised then if it happens.
BloodyRain2k 16. okt. 2021 kl. 12:53
Figured, and I've had no issues at all so far with just plopping out walls and putting them back in somewhere else.
I really wish that there would be a way to disassemble something without losing parts and without minifying.
Given that minified things take up storage too is it really only useful for moving around when you're messing around with designs because you have no idea what you're doing...

And doing that in SoS is damn expensive...
QWERTYww  [ophavsmand] 16. okt. 2021 kl. 11:02
Nothing in SoS2 is minifyable, and as a matter of fact will crash the game if you minify a part of the ship and then leave it on the ground (unless they fixed that since I last played).
BloodyRain2k 16. okt. 2021 kl. 3:49
The high cost of all kinds of components would be less of an "issue" if the walls and reactor wouldn't be the ONLY minifyable things, though even that might already be coming from another mod I'm using :o

Since you are offering to make additions/changes (and since I've gotten nowhere asking in the main mod thread), would it be possible for you to mod the EVA suits (at least the heavy ones) to be stuffable? Or at least point me to where I can learn to do it myself?
Stanley Aech 31. juli 2021 kl. 18:08
From what I could test it worked out pretty well. I will let you know if I run into anything.

Thanks so much for the update!
QWERTYww  [ophavsmand] 31. juli 2021 kl. 18:01
Yes, I've updated it and everything. It's only an XML patch, so it would've worked before the update anyways. Let me know if there's any new stuff that's been added that I should modify too, I don't really use SOS2 anymore.
Stanley Aech 31. juli 2021 kl. 0:09
Does this work with the new version of SOS2?
QWERTYww  [ophavsmand] 9. feb. 2021 kl. 20:03
I didn't know there was a mod that added that, but I can take a look and see if I can.
Xyllisa Meem Paradox Station 6. feb. 2021 kl. 4:19
could you make this work with sos2 stuffable walls? i don't think this would play nice with it right out of the box
QWERTYww  [ophavsmand] 21. nov. 2020 kl. 16:35
It should be, it only patches crafting recipes.
So yes, you can add it mid-game, but just be aware that deconstructing the stuff you already built won't return the components you used on it.
themasternija12 19. nov. 2020 kl. 15:48
is this safe to install or remove midgame with a ship in space?
Alice Degraff 4. okt. 2020 kl. 8:04
OMG tyvm!!!
QWERTYww  [ophavsmand] 13. sep. 2020 kl. 14:21
No problem! Thanks for the support.
Duke Nukem 13. sep. 2020 kl. 13:07
thanks for the mod it surely will help making a ship without needing to wait so much time making advanced components with Rimefeller just to make a door for my weapon room with the addition of having those components for something more useful like a death laser cannon
QWERTYww  [ophavsmand] 27. aug. 2020 kl. 13:06
Updating literally right now. Should be up later today.
thorman123456789 25. aug. 2020 kl. 16:34
1.2?
QWERTYww  [ophavsmand] 25. juli 2020 kl. 11:03
Same thing happened to me, which is why I made the mod actually. Thanks for the support!
Mr.clueless 25. juli 2020 kl. 5:36
this is an amazing find! managed to get started on a ship in my save but man have i been tempted to cheat stuff in because of the crazy cost of some stuff, which just gets grindy after a while
QWERTYww  [ophavsmand] 24. juli 2020 kl. 16:37
Absolutely! Only thing that will happen on an existing save is you won't get advanced components back when deconstructing ship doors built before enabling this mod.
WatchOutForWizards 23. juli 2020 kl. 15:44
Does this work with existing saves?
