I hate Hodan's up-smash. If you're anywhere near the edge of the stage and the up-smash grabs you you're just dead

@Rabbs It does not have an a.i. programmed for it. Some character's do like Kris or Sandbert definitive edition. But Hodan doesn't.

@Mister F Evil Lord The only attack's shown in the trailer that have seemed to change 100% is His dash attack,Going from a roll to a belly flop attack like King K rool's dash attack. And His charged Forward air,Going from a spike to just a hard hitting punch.

@Karusino And charging give's your attacks more damage and some have different effects.

@Karusino The way it works is that what ever direction you hold charges but it doesn't last for long. But Neutral special and side special make's sweat clouds that give you infinite steam while your in them. He's a decently tough character to learn but with practice you can figure it out.

By far the most fun of the four being added. I initially thought the charge mechanic would be cumbersome, but it's actually really fun and give him a unique rhythm.

second, his down b relies too much on steam clouds for actual use. i think if you hit the very end of the move, you could convert it into a jab, but that is literally it. you have to end the move in a vapor pool to get anything off with this. this move is probably hodans coolest movement option, but the fact that it really only moves is a little frustrating. i know its not my character, but as someone who has invested a good amount of time into hodan i think he deserves a little more hitstun in order to combo off of the later hit of the move on certain di perhaps.

regardless, love hodan and think he has a lot of potential regardless of not having a lot of rep in tournaments. these changes i would increase the usage of charge, and the combo potential that he could have with down special
