Are you checking show mask to see if it is already full opaque ( black tint) or transparent (white tint) ?

I will check again but adding an Opacity mask over the effect does not work for me...

Adding an 'Opacity Mask' to an individual glitch effect (Shake) works ok for me. And so does adding an 'Opacity Effect Mask' to all glitch effects (Shakes) overall works for me. I not sure I fully understand your question?

The mask detection (for the alpha channel) is broken ?
