Oh, I realized for the first time that you need a mission file to make it appear only in a specific campaign. Thank you. But if I have the original mission file, why doesn't it work if I combine it with other mod files and compress it?

Because swamp fever uses the same model (which, naturally, uses the same texture) in the Plantation House so adding the mission file ensures that this mod only takes effect in Death Toll

I can't really fix that, it is an issue with the map itself and not an issue with the model/texture.

If there is no light source shining on its surface(such as a flashlight)it will be darker than the surrounding fence. a little abrupt, can you fix it?

Yes (as a matter of fact, now you can find the fireaxe in vanilla Death Toll) and no, the mod hasn't been affected by TLS Update.

It is there because the sam texture is also used in the Plantation House of Swamp Fever so in order to make sure that only Death Toll is affected by the mod, I included his mission file.

This is a good fix, but why does it contain a campaign10.txt replacement, anyway? Doesn't seem like it'd be necessary for a texture fix.

The conflict is a non-issue! Both mods can be used together; the game is only warning you that you've got two mods which contain the same file. It doesn't actually check if these files are different though (which they aren't, so there's no actual conflict).

Both mods contain the exact same file, which is also the exact same file found in the vanilla game. It's only being used by each respective .vpk to apply the mod where the modder intended (this fence fix in Death Toll, the L4D1 saferoom doors in the L4D1 campaigns).

If you have a mod that actually changes the campaign.txt files, such as a melee unlocker, you just need to have subscribed to that one first, and its changes will take precedence within the actual game. These two mods (the fence fix and the L4D1 saferoom doors) operate on a slightly different level, in which, the "vanilla" campaign10.txt files they include - will be ignored by the actual game, while still letting the .vpk use them to determine where the mod applies.

I have a mod that replaces the L4D2 saferoom doors in the original campaigns with their L4D1 counterparts but it conflicts with this because of the campaign10.txt file. Would it be possible for you to maybe make the same mod and package it together into 1 so they don't conflict?

Having the mission file in the vpk is what makes the mod take effect only in Death Toll. Without the mission file, it would affect the fences in swamp fever aswell, which is something I don't want.

Isn't this obsolete now? It'll be better if you'd remove this part of the mod then, as it'll only cause incompatibilities with other mods.

Although, to prevent any issue with another mod that requires the mission file (like the l4d1 specials for example) you can merge both mods easily.

1. The mission file is necessary in order to make the addon to take effect only in Death Toll, since the same texture is also used in Swamp Fever (hence why the textures are white in the 1st place)
2. The reason of why the third-party weapons are included is exactly in order to make this addon compatible with mods such as "Custom Weapons" and Melee Unlockers for the riotshield & knife.

If it's not much hassle, could you please remove the mission file or make it a separate addon? As far as I can tell, it's unnecessary for the texture fix to function, and just increases the likeliness of this addon conflicting with another one that requires mission file edits. (Ex: L4D1 Specials in L4D1 Campaigns) It also seems to include a number of third-party weapons that the user is unlikely to have enabled. A change like this would greatly increase overall compatibility. Thanks.
