Hey the card files link does not work!
Barberian912  [skapare] 2 nov, 2020 @ 11:13
I added a link in the description to the card files. You will need adobe InDesign/Photoshop/Illustrator or something that handles those file types to edit. Let me know if it works!

Barberian, is there any way to post a link in the workshop game's description?

Dmonic, what would be the best way to provide access to the files for this game? Have any ideas? The full folder is multiple gigs so I am having trouble finding a good solution. Thanks for any input you have

Barberian, thank you for replying! I'm sorry to hear you are no longer working on this, but I would love to add more to it myself! I'll be sure to credit you if you provide link to assets - although I can't speak for anyone else who might steal it XD. Regardless, thanks again

Dmonic, thanks for your comment! That sounds cool but also sounds like a real pain to balance. My biggest challenge with this game was decision paralysis because the interactions are fairly complex and one wrong move can cost you the game (the game is much longer than I wanted). I tried to choose abilities that A) would provide interesting game decisions and B) reflected the Hero's individuality. I doubt I will do any more work on this project but you are welcome to steal/add/change whatever you want! Maybe I can put an in game link to the game assets if you are interested.

I. LOVE this project!
The only thing I'm sad about: some characters are missing abilities for the sake of simplicity, like Genji losing deflect and Ashe losing dynamite.
Any chance for an update in the future where multiple cards with different abilities can be given to the same hero? Kinda like how the pokemon tcg has different cards for the same creatures with new abilities?

Eimalaux, thanks for checking out the game and sorry it took me so long to respond. I would be happy to send you the indesign/photoshop files for the game if you are interested in doing anything with it. All I would ask is you would give me a shoutout in some form if you post the game/share the files somewhere else. Let me know how I could send you the files if you are interested.

How do you look at translating your game to Russian? Specifically translating rules and cards. I can ralize this if you are interested.

Very impressive project!

Mr. Bubbles, I updated the cards and Hero Tokens based on some of your questions. Baptiste's Hero Token now has a health indicator, for instance. I also clarified the rules for the "Immortality Field" in the rulebook. Thanks for your questions and help on this. I hope you will rate the game well if you haven't already!

I also updated the board with a new Hero Draft option!
Mr. Bubbles 23 maj, 2020 @ 21:32
That does make sense, thank you!
Barberian912  [skapare] 23 maj, 2020 @ 16:20
I am not sure what ability you are referring to but I assume you are asking about the order between defeating the Immortality Field and defeating characters in one attack. Since Heroes can still receive damage while the Immortality Field is active they would immediately be defeated when the Immortality Field is defeated if they have damage equal to or greater than their health. Hope that clarifies things. If not let me know!
Mr. Bubbles 22 maj, 2020 @ 15:57
I appreciate you taking the time to put all this together!
Thank you so much for the info, one last clarifying bit on Immortality if you don't mind. If a full strength Graviton Surge were to attack the Field, as well as two heroes 4 health or less, how exactly would that play out?
Barberian912  [skapare] 21 maj, 2020 @ 21:02
Mr. Bubbles, thank you for playing the game and for your thoughtful comments! Answers to your questions:

1) Any time the term "Allies" is used it refers to other friendly Heroes and not the Hero performing the action. In Moira's case, Coalescence does NOT heal Moira herself.

2) I used the phrase "treated as a Hero" for Baptiste's Immortality Field to mean that it CAN be defeated (just like Heroes). It can be the target of attacks and has three health. It can even be the beneficiary of shield tokens or abilities like Winstons "Barrier Protector". Once three damage has been done to the Immortality Field, it is removed from the board.

Hope that helps and please let me know if you have any ideas concerning clarifying language on the cards. My goal is to add a section of the rulebook that provides more detailed descriptions of each Hero's abilities.

Thanks again for playing and commenting!

Really like the tactics and interplay in the game. Lucio and Symmetra shenanigans are my favorite, especially when DVA is involved. I do have two questions, though.
Does Moira's Coalesence affect her as well as the allies and enemies?
In regards to Baptiste's Immortality Field, can it be destroyed? It says 'counted as hero' so it reads as a no. So only options at that point would be displacement.

This is the best Overwatch card game I have ever played. There is a strong emphasis on strategy which I prefer and it is well balanced since you are both playing with the same deck of cards.

Great card game! Translates super well from the video game.
