@ItsDaKoolaidDude
like stated within the mod description: this mod doesn't need any update to work properly. just ignore the warning (it's only based on the fact that i didn't manually write 3.12.* - everything would be unchanged anyway). so feel free to use it and have fun. i am not updating this mod unless it's really going to need an update because it's a waste of time. thank you for your understanding!
ItsDaKoolaidDude 27 JUN 2024 a las 20:50
3.12?
Ajey  [autor] 13 MAY 2023 a las 12:25
This mod should still be working fine with 3.8.* and it should most likely also work with any other future version of Stellaris for as long as there is a pop demotion time mult modifier. There is no need for an update. Have fun!
LegitGamer1017 13 MAY 2023 a las 12:01
Is this mod still working fine in 3.8?
Lordlony 6 MAY 2023 a las 15:28
Did not realise how much I needed this until i removed it :Blessing:
DarkCrimson21 3 FEB 2023 a las 8:32
yeah, seen it a few moments ago. thx for the answer.
Ajey  [autor] 3 FEB 2023 a las 8:29
@DarkCrimson21

it should still work. hence an update should not be necessary
DarkCrimson21 3 FEB 2023 a las 8:00
hey Ajey, you mod for demoting time is really a big help. Would be nice if you could update it. thx.

*** PLEASE HELP ME: the only way the PDX devs will take a look and try to fix the annoying strike-craft bug is if enough people do upvote my bug report by clicking on the " ^ " sign and also post comments about how annoying it is - that's just what a PDX employee told me - this only takes a few seconds but it really helps a lot since i can't fix this bug myself and we need the PDX devs to take this bug report serious! please also tell your friends to do the same!

@will2792

this mod would have been working even without updating it and will most likely also work in the future without any need to update it. however i just updated the mod version number. so it should not be marked as outdated anymore. have fun :)
Satanic Rabbit 22 NOV 2021 a las 13:17
3.2? please x
Dawid 18 AGO 2021 a las 13:18
Thi mod is great as it makes game faster, too long demotion time as in vanila creates lags.
Ajey  [autor] 19 ABR 2021 a las 6:45
@bizmaster The Slav

i just uploaded it with the current 3.0.* version. so it should be shown as up to date. if you still see a "!" then you probably need to resubscribe and download this mod again
bizmaster The Slav 19 ABR 2021 a las 6:43
@Ajey thanks for responding bro, i'll just use it then, and if you have a little bit of time you can remove "!", that also will be amazing
anyways thanks for your mod bro
Ajey  [autor] 19 ABR 2021 a las 6:36
@bizmaster The Slav

this mod is still working and does not require any update. although i can upload it again just to get rid of the "!" if that's disturbing for you

having said that please be aware that with 3.0.1 stellaris a new starbase building was introduced (transit) which could make this mod less necessary than before. however it's your decision if you still wan to use it and prefer it instead or in combination with the transit starbase building option
bizmaster The Slav 19 ABR 2021 a las 5:55
update please.
Ajey  [autor] 8 ABR 2021 a las 12:52
@SaulGoode

it is independent from the harmony tradition i.e. the harmony tradition would be applied on top of it. so if the harmony tradition perk gives -50% demotion time then instead of 144 days for rulers you would have 72 for rulers and instead of 72 days for specialists you would have 36 days. (if you use the lite version then it's 360 and 180 days instead of 720 and 360 days)
SaulGoode 8 ABR 2021 a las 12:47
how does this work even if you take the harmony tradition? you're forced to take it at some point to get your ascension perk xD
Baka Racker 22 FEB 2021 a las 18:10
Just what I was looking for, thank you!
AdmiralKnight 4 ENE 2021 a las 13:22
Thank you! I kept getting a bug that would spawn unemployed specialists every time I built a building/district and this is a great workaround

Could we get a version of the mod that isnt as drastic of a change? Maybe 10 -> 2 and 5 -> 1?

@Ajey <Compatibility intensifies!>
Ajey  [autor] 29 SEP 2020 a las 11:56
*** News: found a better way to implement the demotion time adjustment. even though this mod was already super compatible before, now it's even better compatible. with the new code this mod is 100% compatible with every other mod on the mod workshop***
Ajey  [autor] 11 JUL 2020 a las 1:04
@BarbarianJoe21

well that's how it worked for me if i remember right. but maybe i had to reduce more than one job or do it more than once until it puts the right pop back into employment for a second. nonetheless worst case: you have to live with the old pops loaded via save game having the old timers while the new ones will get the new faster timers. should be a very short time issue for you nonetheless because all the new pops will get the new timers. just make sure to keep this mod active :)
BarbarianJoe21 10 JUL 2020 a las 19:21
It says in the description that I should move the pops around to get this to work if I'm using it in a save game, but how do I do that exactly? Disabling the job and then re-enabling it just gives the job back to the pop who was working it, not the one I'm trying to switch it to.

@Double D
like i wrote in the description: this is a ultra leight weight and super compatible mod. i have not seen any mod on the workshop yet that would be incompatible with this mod. the performance infinity mod is therefore also compatible :)
Double D 3 MAY 2020 a las 17:26
How's this work alongside the 00 Stellaris performance infinity mod?

@Ajey
Thanks for the explanation. Now all is clear. Keep up the great work Dude!
Ajey  [autor] 27 ABR 2020 a las 21:41
@Pimpace [HUN]

i will increase the demotion time slightly for rulers to 4-5 months and for Specialists to 2-3 months. this mod reworks demotion time by adding a static modifier to all pops (ai and human empire controlled => simply all pops in game). hence traditions and civics that further reduce the time are still working with this mod. they just further decrease the time. hence a 50 % reduction of harmony tradition would lead to 2-3 months for rulers and 1-1,5 months for specialists.

in case some people see this mod as a cheat: a cheat is something that benefits only human player controlled empires but if you rework/improve a broken mechanic of the game that affects AI controlled empires just the same like human player controlled empires then it's no cheat. It's simply a rework/improvement of a broken mechanic of the game (in my opinion).
Pex_-HUN-_ 27 ABR 2020 a las 11:40
@Ajey

I think this is a good mod, and not consideret as a "cheat" as others see it.
My opinion is the same, makes things more realistic. :)

In vanilla, in traditions Harmony's Kinship option/choice will reduce the demotion time by 50%. How does your mod handle this? Or this is ignored? I mean, when install your mod, it always will triggered with 3 months time?

I suggest, that with your mod, the time should be 6 months by default. And when you pick Harmony tradition's Kinship tree-option, it should take effect, and reduce it by half, so it will be 3 months at the end. What do you think?
Demognomicon 23 ABR 2020 a las 12:59
I don't use APM either... I already have a ton of resource demanding mods as it is.
Hexagoros 23 ABR 2020 a las 10:41
@Livnthedream Because Automatic Pop Migration is hugely resource intensive, and can singlehandedly slow monthly pop checks to a crawl? And because the base vanilla demotion time of TEN FREAKING YEARS is just ridiculous to begin with???
Ajey  [autor] 23 ABR 2020 a las 1:56
@Livnthedream
you prefer another mod? then use it. you think you don't need this mod? then don't use it. it's as simple as that. please understand that mods are nothing else than options. you don't loose anything by gaining an option to choose from. you can simply decline that "option" by not using a mod.

i don't ask you to be thankful that people like me try to help the community by providing mods without asking for anything in return. but please understand: i have no time for useless discussions with you again like we had with another mod of mine where you simply couldn't understand the benefit of the mod and wanted me to justify why i made the mod (now that mod got more than 2k subscribers within a short period of time and is still growing and ppl are telling me they don't want to play stellaris without it anymore)

spare my time and yours. you think another mod is the better choice for you? great! then simply don't use this mod and good bye - thank you
Livnthedream 23 ABR 2020 a las 1:16
Why wouldn't you use Automatic Pop Migration? It has largely been considered a 'must have' since 2.2.
Ajey  [autor] 23 ABR 2020 a las 0:05
@Livnthedream

i am not using automatic pop migration and i think the vanilla timer of 3600 days is way too unrealistic. if you are using another mod that decreases the days of demotion i guess that will do as well - although i did not know about another mod doing that before you said there is an option with automatic pop migration. nonetheless maybe there are people here who do not use automatic pop migration and who prefer this mod like i do :)
Livnthedream 22 ABR 2020 a las 23:58
Between the tradition and the edict from Automatic Pop Migration it was already effectively zero. Why set it to 100 days at that point?
Demognomicon 22 ABR 2020 a las 21:21
Terminate! Terminate! Exterminate! Exterminate! Oh, wrong show. :-)
