LAND from the SWI community gave me a tip that older station blueprints from around the time when Venture modules could still be built caused that same error in earlier API versions aswell. I deleted all my station blueprints and that did finally fix it! It's working with 1.94 now!
Since Sirnukes has returned and is updating the extension there should be no need to use the Community Edition going forward. It was truly just a band-aid until the developer was able to return.
So if you are trying to use this version, regardless of current bugs, unsubscribe from the community edition and only subscribe to this extension.
Here's the link to the file you should unsubscribe from:

This is in spite of having the Finance Hub mods for both Taxes and Transfers.
I've a fork of this to make the pipe feature possible as a socket service on Linux. It's kinda crude but it works for me: https://github.com/bekopharm/x4-projects/tree/linux-compat - a brief description is on the Wiki pages for this (somewhat dated, X4 allows no more symlinks for example)
I use this mostly for my ship telemetry extension for my home cockpit: https://github.com/bekopharm/x4-simpit and also for the X4 External App.
I also hope that SirNukes comes back from X4 hiatus soon 👍

Make sure you've uninstalled steam version of the APIs first, before installing CC edition. Steam version may overwrite CC version of the mod if it was not an installed cleanly.
I can't right click on any ship on the map where the captain has anything in inventory. If I deactivate this mod, it works again.
When I select a group of fighters and try to right click a carrier to try to assign them, it doesn't let me (or it does but the options are off screen)
May be someone could upload this mod here on the Workshop ? Kuertee answered me : "But I've always allowed them to be uploaded by others when they offered. And, unfortunately, even if they had offered to do so, they've not actually done so. "

Setting up the Vortex manager might be the most helpful for casual users to install the Nexus mods
https://www.nexusmods.com/about/vortex/
The Solution: There are none, Steam native users are left high and dry.
The Workaround: Download the Nexus mods, and manage your mods manually. That is not something most users want to do, know how to do, or even't slightly understand, especially since it requires even more manual work on their part for future updates.
I'm voicing this for all the casual users out there, I understand their pain. With me trying to make my own mods, I'm actually moving to managing my own mods outside steam, just so i can control versions better, and mods that collide. I understand just wanting to be able to play though.
only other mod left was VRO
so seems to be a problem with those two mods together?
