With this mode some other modes always reset its ikon position like props and tree anarchy, TM:PE,..
Red border when game paused is not around screen but its smaller - in picture

Maybe because I have non-steam version and this mod I downloaded from modsbase and there is empty file of actual version so i downloaded previous version

Can you repost newest version?

This was a fantastic idea for us 4K player on a 70 inch screen but unfortunately menus such as the ones from the procedural object mod do not change. I know I guess you could only do the UI from the game itself.
Sprite101 13 MAY 2022 a las 19:43
Doesn't play well with mods. Also I went into camera mode and then back and the UI was completely borked, as though it didn't know what size the screen was.
Simhead3 15 ENE 2022 a las 9:41
UI Resolution is newer and seems alot more stable! This Mod gave me problems that i'm sure i'm still trying to flush bits of, as it caused a baked in menu effect on the screen.

Just installed this for my huge 4k monitor, and man the difference! So much screen real estate saved. More city, less filling! Thank you, Mr. Asterisk person!

mod possibly dead??? where is modder... i know how hard these are to fix and relate to other mods but there should be a way
WaKKO151 21 JUN 2021 a las 18:53
will this effect traffic manager? for some reason the set speed limit window is massive. takes up about 1/3rd of my screen. Obviously not your problem. Just wondering if this is the solution or if there is a solution at all.

This mode causes never ending bugs and HUGE fps drops, lags and crashes. DO NOT DOWNLOAD IT. It is not up to date.

Broken mod, scaling the UI messes with mods that have their UI buttons, and causes a weird deep fried effect when scaled too low. Resetting the value and mod doesn't actually bring it back to normal (1), only uninstalling fixed my problems.
Silvar 18 DIC 2020 a las 7:35
Scaling values 0.85 and 0.55 together with the Network Skins 2 mod cause huge delay/freeze opening road, electricity and water build menus.

Road menu:
0.85: ~13 s
0.55: ~38 s
It's really consistent, with delays of 5 consecutive menu opens (repeated back-to-back during the same C:S run) within 0.5 s.

The menu opens instantly with all other scaling values. Only the first opening have a delay of <1 s.

Menus open quickly regardless of scaling value with Network Skins 2 disabled.

Tested ScaleUI versus ScaleUI + Network Skins 2:
- with my full mod + asset setup
- with no other mods but full complement of assets
- with no other mods and no custom assets
the results were the same in all cases

I do realize this problem can easily be circumvented by choosing a slightly different scaling value. It's peculiar how these two values cause a problem, so thought I'd report it.

My specs: i5-4690K (4c/4t) @4.2GHz, 16 GB 1600MHz, RX570 4GB, Radeon Software 20.12.1, Windows 10 version 2004.

The mod has been perfect for me other than when I exit free look the UI shrinks into a smaller frame than usual.
Chaos 14 NOV 2020 a las 8:37
Hello and thank you for the essential mod.

When starting a new city after starting the game from desktop, (sometimes) the game starts with a light blue gradient screen, and the log file shows the following text, repeated many times (once per frame, probably). The condition can be cleared by saving the game and loading it. There is some other condition that triggers the blue screen, that I'm not able to narrow down, hence the "sometimes", but disabling the ScaleUI mod also clears the condition.

So you gonna update it or is this now abandoned...

I love this but it remove the small close X in the corner, I'll keep it in my faves in case this gets fixed. This combined with font selector are a blessing on my eyes
Green Allien 8 SEP 2020 a las 6:13
@Clunk, Varios de los iconos se pueden mover "pulsando y arrastrando" con el boton derecho del raton. Several of the icons can be moved by "clicking and dragging" with the right mouse button.:steamhappy:
HeadMarksman 23 AGO 2020 a las 3:07
@Colossal Order copy this guy's code and add it into the base game! It's an abomination that a game with DLCs in 2020 doesn't scale nicely on big screens
Clunk 22 AGO 2020 a las 6:10
This is good, I like. Sadly, however, Move It! seems to be the one icon I cannot move to somewhere better (it seems it cannot be moved), so had to turn ScaleUI off.
Anyone know how to move the Move It! icon?
RedWagnum 20 AGO 2020 a las 21:28
So close to being a great mod. Too many vanilla (game+DLC) elements that just don't scale right. I hope work continues on it because it is badly needed in CS.
Green Allien 18 AGO 2020 a las 14:12
Gracias !!! Este Mod es realmente necesario ;):steamhappy:

Bless this mod... You, sir, are a saint.

UI Scaling absolute necessity; especially on my 32" 4k monitor. Finally; it doesn't feel like I have my face pushed up against the screen. What a relief.
Neotron-X 7 JUL 2020 a las 6:53
ОГРОМНОЕ спасибо за мод! На мониторе с разрешением 1440p был размытый интерфейс, установка scale 0.75x полностью решила проблему :)

Fantastic! This is must have for large screens, as the UI elements become intrusive! Thank you!
Vestige 12 JUN 2020 a las 9:03
Thank you so much for this mod.
The UI is painfully large on my 28 inch 4k monitor and this works almost perfectly. So far I've noticed that the music list menu gets cropped off a bit but that doesn't bother me all that much.

@Snyder: Yes, I can confirm. Seems like the mod (and a few other mods I have) don't load at all in those cases. I'll take a look but I'm moving soon so it may be a bit before I can get to it.
@Wolves Hero: Yes, sorry, this is a known issue with the last fix I made for train lines. I think I have a better solution I can push soon.
Wolves Hero 30 MAY 2020 a las 20:40
Badly lagging dropped to 5fps when created new bus line & train line & metro line & etc. Loaded game 1st create line was fine no lag but 2nd create line went lagging. I just unsubscribe no more lagging on 2nd 3rd 4th create lines.
Synder 28 MAY 2020 a las 20:41
Thanks for your work on this mod, after getting a new monitor this feels effectively required.

Have you had any success with this mod on scenario maps? While normal ones work fine for me, neither dlc nor workshop ones apply the custom scaling.
*  [autor] 1 MAY 2020 a las 15:24
ould be. There is a section of code that resizes the camera after scaling to fill up the extra space left by the smaller UI. It has an Update method that runs every tick, and the original mod had a couple of FindObjectByType calls in there, which are really inefficient and causing the FPS drop. I wonder if it might be related to this issue as well. Let me know if it happens again.
rkumob 1 MAY 2020 a las 7:02
@* Yeah, it's not that often as I previously said, but does happen. Maybe some late UI update after aborting coroutine?
*  [autor] 30 ABR 2020 a las 22:01
I recently started a new city, and happened to have fraps open, and was shocked at how low my FPS was. I toggled the mod, and sure enough, I was losing 20-30 fps. I knew it had some fps issues when scaling < 1, but I never noticed how bad it was because the drop isn't as large when your city has a good amount of people in it due to the CPU bottleneck.

Anyways, I found some really inefficient code responsible for this, and I'm happy to announce I've fixed the issue. From my testing, the mod now does not seem to affect fps at all!
*  [autor] 30 ABR 2020 a las 21:59
@-Jester-: Ok, I'll have a look.
@rkumob: Yes, this has happened to me a few times as well. I'll try to figure out what's wrong.
XOR42 25 ABR 2020 a las 6:03
Thumbs up for the mod! Just found out it does not play well with "More Network Stuff"by bloodypenguin. Main UI no longer scales, but chirpy does as well as Watch It!
*  [autor] 16 ABR 2020 a las 14:02
Can you give me some examples of UI elements? Screenshots are always helpful too. I couldn't reproduce it myself, but it could be I just didn't have the right UI elements open.
rkumob 16 ABR 2020 a las 9:17
The mod seems to screw vanilla UI elements positions and sized upon exiting from Cinematic Camera or Free Camera mode (those two buttons at the very bottom right). Not every time but pretty often that it's easily reproducible. And sometimes entering this mode again and exiting recovers previously screwed up sizes and positions to some extent.

I'm at 4K resolution.
*  [autor] 15 ABR 2020 a las 20:20
@alkurte: yes, this is a known bug. I tried to fix it once but wasn't successful. I'll give it another go sometime. It's something that would have to be fixed for each individual mod most likely, which isn't so simple. For now, you can work around it by moving the buttons to the center of your screen before scaling. Then set your scale, and move the buttons. As long as you don't change the scale, the buttons will stay where they are.
@dbrigleb: I can't reproduce this :( So when you click on roads in the bottom toolbar you get a long lag? Does your fps drop when this happens? Do you have any other UI mods installed (e.g. FindIt).
dbrigleb 14 ABR 2020 a las 3:37
I'm experiencing a 5 or 6 second lag in the response time of menu items roads or transportation. I had the mod set to .85. When resetting to 1.0 the problem went away, Thanks for your work. I love the idea. Hope you can find a cause/solution.
alkurte 11 ABR 2020 a las 14:39
hi, one question about the mod. when i scale smaller, the other mod buttons dont reposition with the toolbar. (like move it cursor). is it possible to fix this bugs? appreciate your work, it was a must have!
NahuelMP 10 ABR 2020 a las 20:37
I love the idea! But I had to unsubscribe because when I scaled the UI I got a 10 fps drop in the game :(
manolom79 7 ABR 2020 a las 6:40
ok, it works!!!! best!
*  [autor] 6 ABR 2020 a las 16:40
Do you see ScaleUI in the mod section at all? You should be able to enable it and press the Options button to configure:

https://i.imgur.com/hRT2zR6.png

Since it works for me and other players, there must be something wrong on your end if you don't see that above in the mods section.
manolom79 6 ABR 2020 a las 15:31
yes but no find the scaling option in the mod section
