@mecha dei parts should be at the bottom. All mods you want to use with dei should go ABOVE dei.
Otherwise they won t have effect.

Hello, i already started a campaign but i want do uninstall the weather mod, will it affect my savefile?

Hi @AveMetal. I wanted I love the battlefield effects, but not a fan (subjectively) of the campaign map effects. It is too dark and gritty in my opinion. Can you please let me know which files of the mod, I need to delete in order to allow my own personal mod for the campaign map take precedence? Thanks much appreciated.

Hi @AveMetal. Do I simply copy the presets of the reshade profiles for ParaBellum file onto the GEMFX presents folder or do I just copy GEMFX_settings.cfg? Thanks

Just want to leave a note here to save some trouble for some people.
If you have HDR monitor and have it turned on in windows display settings, do follow the instructions and tick off the HDR in the configurator other wise you are gonna get overexplosure

@ aalva104: you can only use gemfx OR reshade, but not both at the same time. To reinstall you will need to delete all the files they leave, because some are common and if you leave them and remain they will conflict.

@ Ricthum: You can set up the keys if you open GEMFX_Configurator.exe

@ Sanakan: Probably you are right, I think it does not apply correctly in that campaign.

[EASY] AstroCat: the campaign lighting is based on OT, and is meant to look vivid but not saturated. If you want more saturation you can tweak to your taste via the reshade profile.

The snow and clouds fx are not removed, for instance, the clouds have adjusted brightness and transparency so you can see better through them.

More on this, if you use reshade and GEMFX you will get a black screen and the game will not show anything. Now i'm stuck trying to figure this out because instructions were not clear.

In case anyone is wondering, you cannot use reshade and GEMFX at the same time. Wish the instructions would be a bit clearer

Sorry one more, I read below that the snow, rain and cloud vfx are removed? Is this for the campaign map I assume? Reasoning why, just didn't like them?

If I wanted the more vibrant OB and OA campaign map would I need to copy out their terrain/campaigns folder into it's own mod, and move it up in the load order?

I do have ReShade and your vivid 1 option does help a bit, but still not quite as colorful.

I just tried this but I noticed the campaign map is much more muted than vanilla or Orbis Terrarum II Beta plus the Orbis Aquarum water mod. Is this on purpose? I actually kind of prefer the more colorful campaign map. Thanks.

You got the Blue Tree bug ever since you implemented Celticus stuff. If you look his original Orbis Terraum discussion section...you'll see what I'm talking about

You have to choose Reshare or GEMFX. The first one only includes the profiles(have to be placed at the main game folder), the program is available in Internet and there are lots of tutorials about how to install it. As GEMFX is no longer available (there is an outdated version in the workshop iirc) I provide the profiles but also the program and the installation instructions.

The instructions are def unclear on this one.

I have Reshade... so I download...then the instructions STOP for Reshade...what to do next for Reshade (assuming you have it already downloaded)?

Then there is GEMFX - is that an alt to Reshade or needed in addition to? There seems to be more instructions for that one.

I´ll fix soon the sandstorm issue. But it is not related to GEMFX, which is an independent shader program that improves a bit more the color and lighting. Alternatively you also have profiles for Rehsade in the description, this is another program with the same function.

New to using mods. Was able to follow the other specific instructions but for this weather one, I'm not sure what to do. I downloaded Reshade Profiles folder. Now what? Which rome 2 folder am I dropping that into if someone could provide the path. And then there was a note about needing to delete dxgi.dll file. Where is that? TIA

@ The Necromancer: you have to choose only one program, and delete the dxgi.dll file between installs because this file is different in each programa though it's name is the same, so to avoid conflicts.

@ Migalex: that is the location for the profiles included in the description, but you also have to install the main program that is not included.

I'm not clear on this. Until today I didn't even know these were a thing for R2. Should I install both Gem and ReShade? I added Gem, then tried to install ReShade but it failed complaining about the dxgi.dll.

Gamma 20 - Brightness 8 to 12, depending on your monitor calibration. The pics of my mods´ galleries are also taken with GEMFX and the profile that I share in the description.
