I'm hoping to create something similar, but without the requirement for writing. I want to make some aide-memoir slate cards. Is there any chance you've done a tutorial about how to create this, or can you give some pointers to where I might be able to learn?

This mod is no longer under development, but you are free to do it yourself, fork the repo, and reupload it to steam. From my side you are allowed to do if I am tagged as a second author.

Sorry if this has been asked, but is there any way i could Edit the Different tabs to default to something else? Like for instance Custom made #-Lines? I like the ones youve added, dont get me wrong, but itd also be nice to be able to go into a config in the files and Edit the Default Text Associated with the Different Tabs. Ive Tried to do it a few times myself but with no luck thus far. Any Tips or advice?

It is possible to read another book, but you need to have none and pick it up. You can remove the item pbos to make it client side

Nice mod, but why do you need an item to view your notes when the notes themselves seem to be clientside? Definitely the best notepad mod so far but if you make it so that you can loot notepads and read them it would be great for realism and mission design.

Alright, makes sense. When I press the little arrow in the bottom right or left of the book, it just takes me to a blank page. Is that how it's supposed to work?

You can place them on the ground with a ace interaction.
They are marker for your (friendly) position for a helicopter for example. Or a ccp

We use chief's 9 liners & notepad. It's 100% client side today with optional serverside configs. Great if you don't want the arsenal object.

Just got done commenting on Ampersand's "Dismount Where You Look" mod, talking about how I love the mods you'd never think of, but once you do, can't imagine playing without.

P.S. I second the idea of having additional notes, whether for Recon elements or just general purposes.

Also, this may be reaching the mod's scope, but as mentioned below, a 'transmit' option might be kind of cool. Something that sync's the notebook's text to other players (or even just to archive notes in-between missions), as if calling in a SPOTREP/SITREP; (I suppose this could detract from the realism a bit, although it could be said that it's simulating an AI radio operator)

@Katalam: I can't find the Notebook in the Virtual Arsenal. I read some comments that it should be under Misc. but i can't find it.

Yeah, we allow people to run client side mods on our ops.

What I meant was a few blank pages for the notebook you can note down elevations/enemy movement/positions/pieces of information you were given/clues or other bits which may prove useful but are not CAS, MEDEVAC or Indirect Fire related

Not sure how you transmit a notebook through a network. But if I understand you correct, a laptop will not be part of this mod to transmit such things. Maybe in the future but not atm

If you look some comments below. There is one guy saying that it is possible. But I don’t give any support for this one. You should (expect some few) use the same mods on both sides.
