This mode is super fun cause you get some challenges you face. For instance have to be extra careful when dealing with tanks and special infected at the same time. Melee weapons are great for killing everything. I also sit the game on public to see if anybody joins. I like using shotguns for defense and snipers for tire 2 weapon.

I mean eventually campaign becomes a different kind of survival mode. Because its not a question of if you make it but rather how far you make it.

Yes. I also struggle with finding good teams for playing on high difficulty levels. Like cataclysmic and higher. Fiendish should not be a huge deal with other players. But after that, it could become interesting.

On insurmountable, there is no permanent health anymore. Only temp health. Med kits are completely useless (i actually wanted to remove them but that did not work for some reason) and everyone is black and white all the time. Zombies are almost bullet proof Usain Bolts that happened to be also very good at punching people. All my solo attempts on that difficulty level did not go very far. xD Its hard to imagine something could be much harder than pandemonium realism, but unutterable and insurmountable are.

when i got fiendish dificulty back in 2017-2018 I DID NOT EXPECT ANOTHER 2 TO COME OUT AFTER THE PAIN FIENDISH PULLED OUT

Another Sunday drive situation. The next difficulty should make the survivors bleed out still when you are picking them up and make the any infected including the zombies bust down the saferoom doors. Plus make the pipe bombs useless and our health red when we first start.

*instead of quitting with severe depression I proceed to spam airstrikes on every single infected and spawn shittons of explosive barrels while placing down a witch and a tank and vomiting on them and forcing ellis to spam 36 stories in one breath and placing down rochelle props to stall everything and invading the skybox and fill it with gascans and spawn a single jimmy gibbs junior who proceeds to poo out clones of himself and spawning a cola infected who wants to spill cola everywhere and making time on the game kill itself and create a sacrifice finale and have bill sacrifice and then turn everything into bill and-* game crash

SCP 2903: The unbeatable difficulty. Infects computers that have L4D2 installed and causes severe depression, headaches and frustration to any player. It cannot be turned off in any way. As soon as the computer starts, L4D2 will start aswell. Noobs are affected a lot more by SCP 2903s influence. Sometimes SCP 2903 will lure players into thinking they can survive a chapter. Less zombies will spawn on the way to the saferoom. But as soon as one comes within 10 meters of the saferoom, a massive horde will spawn and beat the players down. During such an event, all infected sounds are replaced by sounds which contain the words "you suck". The words will penetrate the subconsciousness deeply to slowly break the players personality down. The only way to halt that process is to carve "no u" into the skin of the right leg.

Made it past first level. Gave up on second.

Turns out with the competitive bots addon and a crap ton of bots huddled together they all rain hell on infected killing them easily. They'd also get downed people up so that's a big help to me who often gets hit by one common.
But can barely even shoot due to the danger of the bots getting in my way, and due to the insane friendlyfire, insta-kill them.

The infected though, can easily incap a survivor. This causes the flood of bots to rush out trying to help them, which can deprive me of the safety of numbers.
This is the sole reason why I stopped trying to complete level 2 because GAUNTLET CRESCENDO THAT SPAWNS AN INFINITE MOB. One bot goes down, everyone stops rushing and they begin to pick us off.

It's like a game of extreme group survival.
Move with the bunch, even if you don't want to. One of you is nothing to the zombies.

Gonna play this in Cold Stream first level with 24 survivors, wish me luck. (32 just crashed the game a while after I left spawn)
Do take into account I suck at expert. This may not go well.

Well, if i will ever make a 9th difficulty level, i will definitely make a 10th aswell. I just could not let that be unfinished then. But i doubt there will ever be need. But since both cataclysmic and pandemonium are both very young and therefor barely tested, i will probably just change these two first instead of making new ones. For example i nerfed nightmare and fiendish a few times so far. The original fiendish used to be around the current cataclysmic i guess. But since i pretty much disabled the possibility to rush (which i have never actually tested), i will probably make some changes. I am not really happy with how it is at the moment. So i need to find a way to make it better without changing the gameplay drastically. It should be the same kind of feel as a campaign on a lower difficulty. Just a lot harder of course.
