This is a favorite of mine. It's so fun to pull off, and it's a unique solution that feels like it absolutely could've been in the base game!

I'm so happy you included the voice lines for when you smash the monitor screen :3
Mate what where you smoking when you made this lol

Me too! In the original chamber i jumped off the angled platform onto the portal surface in the main room but this remake fixed/invalidated that and made me think harder, and find the intended solution lol

Playing this remake forced me to solve the test the correct way, the way I solved the original was wrong, hahaha.

Nice remake.
DarkCloud 12.1.2021 klo 2.15
Nice make up for a classic puzzle. The only thing that disappointed me a little is that you missed an opportunity for an easter egg, since you can reach a walkway inside the pit; only to meet with an invisible wall. For comparisson

its puzzle is just the same as Mevious's original, just add some special effects.

https://youtu.be/AHwwcl1aHTE I connot belive how long it took me to re-play a chamber I already solved 5 years ago. Well done remake.
Modoc73 4.6.2019 klo 22.40
We need more maps like this one. Thanks!
Galactic Jack 27.4.2019 klo 20.59
Well done re-styling of the map. Having done it already I solved it very quickly. If anything, seeing some things from the end of the collection made me think it'd be harder than it was.

fun remake

Bless my little primate brain.
averagegamer17 23.3.2017 klo 23.58
As much as I love the original map, I do have to admit, however, I still love the satisfaction, of hitting "the big god face", just to piss off wheatly.
adamu 15.9.2016 klo 5.58
Oh now I find out you don't need the angled panel. Mind blown! Take 2...
adamu 15.9.2016 klo 5.53
Nice one, took me four days. I solved it in my head during a lunch break and couldn't wait to get home to try it out. :-)
zigzagtenniscoe 29.8.2016 klo 15.24
Excellent remake of this map. It would be cool if the whole No Elements series somehow got remade into some kind of story, it'd be cool.
Petutski 15.5.2016 klo 12.39
Well, this is a nice map, but I liked the original better. What is all the "shaking" about? Very annoying.
Gerontocracy 27.2.2016 klo 15.57
Wow, this remake looks awesome. Loved the original Pit, but nice to have some extra eyecandy.:steamhappy:
WK2Trailhawk 27.1.2016 klo 16.53
Either I did it wrong or I fell for the distraction.
luckylluck2 17.6.2015 klo 13.53
wow, rarely saw such a nice edit! Really well done!
Fatso 4.5.2015 klo 23.25
Wow I had a brain fart, that one took longer than I care to admit. Nice job Fluppy thumbs up.

Pretty good, may make a walkthrough video for it some time.

Good chamber! Nice design. Thank you
Gecko 6.6.2014 klo 5.43
Wow, that took me a looong time to figure out (2 hours+). Thanks for the excellent challenge!

@Hell Diguner Well done!
HeliGungir 4.6.2014 klo 9.04
I smashed the Wheatley TV...
Flup  [tekijä] 4.6.2014 klo 5.27
@lfairban Definitely, these puzzles often require you to take a break and try a different approach. I hope you enjoyed the map!
lfairban 3.6.2014 klo 18.31
I can't believe I finally got this. This time I knew I was on to something and then just tried something new and OMG this is it! Velexia: Give up if you are tired, think about the map as you are falling asleep, and when you wake up, you will figure it out. Sometimes it helps to think of the end criteria and work backwards as far as you can.
stormsend 23.2.2014 klo 15.58
Good job. Thank you.
«- Flippie_X -» 27.1.2014 klo 16.47
Fantastic Map. Cant believe I took me so long to figure it out. I even tried to sneak around the map (I noticed a white panel behind the outside grid :P)
luckylluck2 22.1.2014 klo 7.43
this is brings the concept to it's rightful honour. well done Fluppy! :)
Flup  [tekijä] 4.12.2013 klo 10.04
@erdbeerscherge That's right, you don't need it! The original Pit from Mevious' Portal 1 mod called Portal Pro does not have an angled panel in it. Mevious even told me that I don't have to put it into my remake. But I've decided to keep it in the map.
erdbeerscherge 3.12.2013 klo 5.41
Now for a challenge: You actually don't need that 30°-panel in the Pit-Room!
I found this solution after ripping my hairs out for 20 minutes of looking for the intended solution. It's totally possible, and equally easy to achieve.
Velexia 24.11.2013 klo 16.06
I think I will give it another try in the future, when I am more familiar with the tricks required, and when I am not on the verge of falling asleep ^_^
Flup  [tekijä] 24.11.2013 klo 2.25
@Velexia Thanks for the feedback! Will you give it another try?
Velexia 23.11.2013 klo 13.17
Here's a video of my attempt:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fXtsFRSnqys

I failed. I blame lack of sleep, and lack of Portal 2 experience =3

Very nifty test chamber, and so pretty =)
[ExR]-IAMV0LDY 28.10.2013 klo 11.40
Very nice design, you also fixed An exploit that allowed to solve the original map placing the portals on both the diagonal panels in the 2 separated rooms and jumping from the one near the gap into the flat white floor (placing a portal there) that made you arrive at the "top" of the 2nd room.
herbusmc 7.10.2013 klo 22.59
Great fun! Thanks.
Flup  [tekijä] 7.9.2013 klo 5.55
@p0rtalmaster Yes it was.
The Sojourner 7.9.2013 klo 2.36
Was this made entirely in Hammer (knowing of course that the original concept was through the Puzzlemaker)?
Absolclaw 1.9.2013 klo 5.03
Simple but wonderful, and a very nice looking chamber too, good job.
