that could be an option too.
Back when I did them, I was also doing crystal tree replacements, so I just kept them like this for a look that also worked for my space mod and tiberium.

These mines actually looks like emeralds, and I pretend they are made of that mineral when I play with them. If you recolor them with light blue they will look like diamonds.

Oh! Really? :) Thank you! If you want to do it, I think I would prefer your metallic mines. You're right, these looks well but for crystals. By the way, I love your terrains and works in general :D

Would you prefer these recolored, or for example some of my gold/iron mines recolored? - These might look strange with their crystaline form...

I do like it! It gives a cool sci-fi-fantasy touch to the game. Would you consider to publish recolored mines for turn them into silver, copper or even jade as in AoM Tale of the Dragon? It doesn't matter that mines still "saying" that are gold. I'd love to see that! :D Anyway. Thank you very much

No, people in older ages had more resistance against those effects.
They used it to craft 'magical' weapons and armors that sadly went lost over time when people suffered more and more from Tiberium exposure though.

I confess, in a somewhat humorous way, this makes the location of gold in sand and desert styled maps much less of a task. Nicely done. Lovely texture choice. ^^
