Depending on what is changed by mod and game patches determines if a mod needs updating. Mods like this rarely need updating , unless a update changes the blood dlc will not need an update , ignore launcher message.

if u want even less blood try "BloodPerformancePack(LessBloodLessGoreEdition)"

Very good to have this, its nice to have blood and gore, but one human's body should not spill forth the guts and blood of 50 men when cut open with a sword.

Works fine for me with SFO and about 100 other mods. But, it says on the steam page it's never been updated.

thanks, very helpful to know. just checked, the workshop isn't showing updates, just one change note from 2018. KMM flags it as out of date, and CA's MM says its good. Haha hence my confusion

But ive seen some Mentions, that movie Mods now work without putting them into data.

If you want only to change the amount of blood seen on the units, just subscribe, but don`t download an additional file.

In this way Less Blood is compatible with other blood mods (such as More Gore, etc)

Wrong.
You can update any Mod of Total War without changing anything.
By updated i assume he just means it is still working.
I have also mentioned some Pages back in the Comments here, that the Mod also needs to be converted in (r)pfm to the movie Format, to function correctly.
Otherwise you only have reduced Blood on Units, but not the additional less Blood Effects like the real Mod from bigsur, who released it only for Warhammer 1.
But it still works the same for Wh2.

@forlorn because @greenraven needs to change the names of the modified tables for the update to process correctly through the launcher and onto steam, using the rusted packfile manager

Hey, to everyone asking questions... the answer is I don't know. I'm not actually a modder. I knew barely enough to take bigsur's masterpiece and repackage it so it can remain up to date. So, sorry, but I'm afraid I won't be much help.

On another note, is there any way to disable blood decals on ground from arrows? They are just too ridiculous.

Alright, and how about the additional file https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=715878344 for the original to decrease blood all around, not just on units? Will that still work if I manually place it on DATA?

Also you should probably link it in here....as this just reduces the blood on units as is.

@Belisar1453 You can easily check that in the game options. In my case not noticeable FPS decay, and if there is, it would be worth it

You do NOT need to subscribe to any of the Mods if you use the external File!

Reason is to make the Effects actually work as intended, the Mod has to be set to .movie File instead of .pack.
And you cant upload .movie Files onto the Steam Workshop - thats why an external is needed.

Yes, you do need the external File to reduce Blood from Effects etc.
Look in the real Mod Description in Warhammer 1 Mod from bigsur.

Only subscribing to this Mod and you will have only reduced Blood on the Models, which is only a Part of the original Mods Intention!

1- Subscribe to this mod
2- Download the ash_less_blood.pack file found on the Warhammer 1 version of the original mod
3- Put that file in the Warhammer 2/Data folder
4- Set the file to Read only (in its properties)
