Request: Mount points on both the back and front of propellers, for the purposes of making contra-rotating props.

This mod is on mod.io since 2years. Or did I understand you wrong?

Per chance my good sir, might you be inclined to publish the mod to where I might access the contents on mod.io. Thank you and have a good day.
Heavyweapons 5 jan 2023 om 12:40
Understood, Thank you.
Takeshi  [auteur] 5 jan 2023 om 10:03
No, please no listed reuploads. Thank you.
Heavyweapons 4 jan 2023 om 11:59
Hi, I would like to know if I could reupload this mod to make the propellors consume more power, Thanks!
Кендер V 2 dec 2022 om 12:17
Can you turn the decorative block "Prop_Motor" into an engine (H2->energy) ? And if from "Prop_Motor_classic_3x3" it will also be possible to assemble assemblies - it will be super. :)
Rushlow 24 nov 2022 om 19:52
Okay Thank you!
Takeshi  [auteur] 19 nov 2022 om 12:34
Please only unlisted, thank you.
Rushlow 19 nov 2022 om 12:19
Hi Takeshi, can I make a version with just the decorative motor covers? I run a plane server and while we use your plane parts mod, we don't use these specific propellers. A few players have been asking for the decorative covers though, and I agree that they are pretty nice blocks :) Cheers
Nova 28 jun 2022 om 0:55
Seems to be caused by the buildbox, I just tried it out with the 1x1x1 buildbox version, that works just fine. Thanks for the awesome mod by the way, I'm glad I could get it to work like this :)
Takeshi  [auteur] 27 jun 2022 om 6:50
then I think the aerodynamic mod is dooing something, maybe it should, that has impact on it. As far I know, is aerodynamic drag part of the mod. Then the Propeller is not the source of your problem, it is the drag of your vehicle.
Nova 27 jun 2022 om 4:41
So I tried it out, the mod on it's own is just fine, works great. As soon as I add Aerodynamic Physics (https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=571920453) the propellers behave as described before
OnE gRuMpY bOi 25 jun 2022 om 9:15
yeah, ik it'll work without other mods just fine, i was just wondering why it wasn't in this particular case as other modded thrusters, propellers etc seem to be ok. i will still have a look with just this though
Takeshi  [auteur] 25 jun 2022 om 8:49
To Ogb:
please try it only with one mod. With only zhat one.
To Krachbumente:
Danke

And the Mod has so many subscribers before you, I think (if Keen has not changed anything last time) the mod is working fine.
Nova 24 jun 2022 om 7:08
I have the same problem but without the realistic thruster mod. Adding these propellers shifts the center of drag really close to the propeller (Both for front and back ones). Because of that center of mass and center of drag end up far apart from each other making the plane pretty much uncontrollable. Having huge back wings or a super heavy front makes a plane controllable (with front prop) but much harder to design anything remotely nice looking
OnE gRuMpY bOi 23 jun 2022 om 10:56
had a quick test on a (ultra basic) scale thingy because i thought it might've been weight, but the skyblade props that i'm using rn are much lighter so i'm not sure (was a fairly typical front prop fighter) and it still reaches for the sky with these props. very odd
Takeshi  [auteur] 23 jun 2022 om 6:42
Hi Ogb, the aerodynamic mod should not create problems with the Propeller. The Propeller is a "normal" Thruster wir another model. The realistic thuster mod will do the same to the propeller like to a default thruster.
OnE gRuMpY bOi 22 jun 2022 om 15:05
for some reason these violently pitch up when using draygo's aerodynamics mod and the realistic thrusters mod.. oof
Takeshi  [auteur] 3 mei 2022 om 9:13
it should
ninjawizard 3 mei 2022 om 2:14
does it stop rotating when your stop applying thrust?
RedEternal 27 apr 2022 om 7:58
does this still work?
Takeshi  [auteur] 7 apr 2022 om 9:23
LeRoy, please no reuploads for modpacks. Thank you.
LeRoy 6 apr 2022 om 23:14
@TakeshiI would like to use this mod in a mod pack I'm making meaning re-uploading it. Thx either way.
OperatorMater 26 mrt 2022 om 8:28
love this add-on!

@Turret problems. Hey did you know making propellers from blocks can allow you to make it any size you want?
Turret problems 12 jun 2021 om 15:29
Well i havent been able to find any others, do you know of any?
Takeshi  [auteur] 12 jun 2021 om 1:49
Hi there, no, I have no plans to add a bigger propeller.
Turret problems 11 jun 2021 om 22:24
Making larger planes like the B25 is difficult because the small size of even the large propellers, is there going to be another size?
Takeshi  [auteur] 2 jun 2021 om 9:00
nope, you cant change the direction of the rotation. Only replacing the models, not more.
MoreLoong_Dragon 1 jun 2021 om 22:41
Maybe we can make contra-rotating propellers by adding stackable propellers?
Ratnik-3 10 mei 2021 om 11:21
Ok, thanks. I hope someday they will appear in workshop.
Takeshi  [auteur] 9 mei 2021 om 11:42
no, we use only the fan from the vanilla Thruster with another model for the propeller. The thruster has only onw fan, so the mod has only one fan. Sorry. More is only possible with separate animation, and that is hard to do.
Have a nice day.
Ratnik-3 9 mei 2021 om 11:15
I don't think this is possible, but are there any plans to add contra-rotating propellers like on Westlend Wyvern, XB-35 or Tu-95?
4th DUI Charge 25 apr 2021 om 9:34
I just tried it with vanilla wheels and it works fine. This makes me sad...
Takeshi  [auteur] 25 apr 2021 om 7:34
Its mostly the same, only difernet models.
Btw., that is the Propeller mod.
4th DUI Charge 25 apr 2021 om 7:28
Not vanilla wheels, plane part wheels.....
Takeshi  [auteur] 24 apr 2021 om 23:41
Please report it to Keen, thats the only way.

4th DUI Charge 24 apr 2021 om 12:46
I've noticed wheels like to sink through armor blocks. Specifically, I made an aircraft carrier and all of my light fighters keep sinking through the top deck... How can I fix this?
Takeshi  [auteur] 3 jan 2021 om 4:34
i will contact you. Have a nice day.
Kain 2 jan 2021 om 15:19
dear author of this wonderful mod! can I change it a bit, our small rp server doesn't need a big grid. is it possible to publish it, with a link to the original mod. thank you for a great mod!
PeanutBoss8 9 dec 2020 om 12:04
Ok, Thanks for the information.
Takeshi  [auteur] 9 dec 2020 om 8:43
I can only use custom design (enginebackground from the game). That is a body and the fan. The Body is invisible and the fan is the propeller, same parts as the atmo thruster has. Other stuff is not possible with the normal way of modding.
PeanutBoss8 8 dec 2020 om 13:52
Edit* Contra, dual prop is two engines
PeanutBoss8 8 dec 2020 om 13:46
Can you put a prop on another prop to get that dual prop engine?
Takeshi  [auteur] 5 dec 2020 om 2:26
i will contact you.
Generic_Overlord 4 dec 2020 om 15:01
Hello, first of all great work on this and your other mods.

For a survival play through me and a group are planning in coming weeks, we will be looking into using "patch" files to lower the power of the vanilla atmospheric engines to what in our opinion is more reasonable numbers when things like planes are options.

upon this we where wondering if this would effect you're proppellers in the process or whether a second "patch" file would be needed. As with you're blessing we would like to still use your mod but with numbers inline with that of the adjusted vanilla engines.
Takeshi  [auteur] 26 okt 2020 om 10:28
thank you, i think it is easier to use a subtyp specific on/off switch. I will not change the mod in the near future, so (i think) no new subtype IDs will be added.
Mike Dude 26 okt 2020 om 9:36
I made the changes you requested. This script uses specific subtype ID's, but I could probably add all of the 1x1x1 IDs as well. I'm not really a coder so I'll have to get some help in order to change it to be less subtype ID specific.
