FYI, TPB is an employee of Colossal Order and no longer creates mods. https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/developer-diary/colossal-stories-hiring-modders-2-tpb.1478711/

it doesn't work for me, I don't know if there is another mod in conflict. but if I disable all my mods, and only enable Tides, it does work.
ЛМ Corp 6/dez./2022 às 3:00
please update this mod
morgasm 5/dez./2022 às 22:55
ahahah so .. your personal choices are probably the best idea .. but I wanted to see it work fast and so I set it to full settings and used Play It to speed the day up by 3 ... ahahah you should have seen what happened .. huge highs and lows in patterns all over the sea that flooded the lands ... ahaha amazing effect. 100% works and I really like it <3
NixLovesTwix 5/dez./2022 às 20:00
In my experience, this mod still works!
Plazmafield 25/set./2022 às 12:30
Guys, the mod works, and it's rather neat. The downsides to the mod are occasional flooding (nothing that can't be fixed with the rainfall mod's drains), the landscaping fluctuates some, so I recommend building paused. However, the mod does what it says.
cahilart 16/ago./2022 às 19:54
so no updates for this mods?
MrFbiMan 7/mai./2022 às 1:15
It doesn't work, I subscribed and something appears in content manager but its named random numbers and nothing appears in the settings
Sepon 16/mar./2022 às 13:12
It works fine for me (I have alot of mods imho), unfortunately I had to disable this mod for Prism Ridges map which I play on, cause default sea level for this map causes the see to flood important highway intersections, and lowering the sea level will cause the rivers to go dry. This mod is good for generally high maps with exit to sea/beaches
fisto the robo 7/mar./2022 às 19:33
So does this still work or not?
soundersbloke 25/fev./2022 às 17:13
I think this mod ruined my subways. It sent them deeper and everything went wonky
ping1000 25/jun./2021 às 14:05
It's been a while since a release, but lemme try with a small(?) request. Could you extend speed range even more or specifically - could you enable the speed to go (much) slower than x0.1 to make it work with Real Time mod a little better?
rlas 22/mai./2021 às 17:39
@jetblade545 that is incredibly weird, i didnt have that issue after unsubbing. Good luck on finding that file. Maybe also check if the workshop folder of the mod still exists in ur Workshop Folder from cities skylines
jetblade545 21/mai./2021 às 23:12
@rlas i did that and its still doing it i think when i uninstall it it leaves a file behind, I've tried a new world but still does it
rlas 21/mai./2021 às 4:45
@jetblade do not disable but unsubscribe mods ALWAYS. Othewise they run code and do stuff like that :)
jetblade545 21/mai./2021 às 2:01
when i disabled the mod it still affected the sea level and i cant stop it. help would be nice.
Glitterhoof 13/mai./2021 às 11:54
would be cool to have an optional tidal water source you could place at map edge, so the water would flow in instead of bubble up
Glitterhoof 13/mai./2021 às 11:53
I love this idea, but with the way sea level changes works this is unusable on my below sea level map
rlas 5/abr./2021 às 14:18
@grillo thats not a bug thats how the game mechanics work when u play with the sea level
grillo 4/abr./2021 às 18:26
There's a bug that if you have a map with part of the land below see level, but it's not connect to a river or sea, ie, it's dry, if you enable this mod, water will fill that space
rlas 6/nov./2020 às 13:04
hi i didnt notice any performance decrease while playing but i noticed a huge huge fucking huge impact on loading time. It added an hour to my savefile. I use 17k assets and 143 mods. Tides mod added an hour to the loading time unfortunately. This is a amazing mod and it works flawlessly ingame. That loading increase is prolly because of some heck meck of the game xD
angii 26/set./2020 às 13:32
i awarded this
BonBonB 22/jul./2020 às 10:49
@Future If they are below the high tide level they will. The mod works by raising and lowering the sea level, not by injecting more water in from the sides. Any areas of land below the high tide level will flood and you will need to plan accordingly
Future 16/jul./2020 às 7:08
any tunnle entrances I have get flooded :/
BonBonB 14/jul./2020 às 7:05
@ldvdp & @Future: I tested the mod earlier and while sensitive it worked fine. I reset the sea level to "original", and set the speed to 0.2. I found the turbulence started at around speed 0.5, so if you set below this it should be fine. At least, those are my findings.

@Capitan Boricua: That's my theme tune :cozybethesda:
ldvdp 13/jun./2020 às 14:28
Same to me, full tsunamis. If you fix it, the mod is fantastic
Future 28/mai./2020 às 15:05
Can this fix the 'infinite tsunami warning' glitch?
LIN-CHN 7/fev./2020 às 21:22
causing Delays in terrain editing
Capitan Boricua 30/jan./2020 às 17:08
What song was that in the intro video?
roberto tomás 19/jan./2020 às 5:32
what speed corresponds to normal game play 1 day/night cycle?
ping1000 5/set./2019 às 13:14
I love the idea, but it also makes water appear in the land if it is under current sea level, which is rather destructive
lol_wut 14/ago./2019 às 16:57
cool just small things can add so much
Vans 6/ago./2019 às 18:26
my map is been destroyed thx!
Combustible lemons 5/ago./2019 às 15:42
I LOVE THIS!!!
epicanova 23/jul./2019 às 12:41
I love this mod, but I've had to disable it, as it seems to have an issue with handling tsunamis. After one hit my city, the water didn't recede back to where it was, but to a higher level. It stayed there until I went into the Tides options and reset the sea level to the map's initial level. The map was Delta Range 2 if you'd like to recreate the issue.

The Map I Have, It Makes My City Get Flooded with this mod
DrunkBastard 28/mai./2019 às 0:34
i love this mod make a more intense wave mod. for like beaches.
LYN 18/mai./2019 às 8:22
never knew you made this mod
quality
Vortex ♀ Pixalation 28/abr./2019 às 19:24
does this mod behave well with a modded time scale
hambil 28/fev./2019 às 11:00
Using BonbonB's map created for this mod I really enjoyed myself but I did run into one rather fun issue: When the tide went out it exposed some large sandbars. I took the opportunity to build a flood wall around one of them to get some more land. The tide came in anyway (under the flood wall) and the game crashed. Not a big deal just interesting :) Thank you for the mod.

sindar 8/jan./2019 às 22:00
@Comtex, how about you change the mod‘s options. Or maybe watch the linked video. :steamfacepalm:
Crimpus Perineum 8/jan./2019 às 17:45
how do I change tide settings
BonBonB 1/dez./2018 às 10:39
Finally, a map that takes full advantage of the tides. 7 months in the making.

@baronjutter: checkbox should now behave properly and also the other problem should be fixed now.
Katalepsis  [autor(a)] 9/nov./2018 às 12:32
Hi all. Sorry for my long absence but some crazy shit has being going down in my life lately.
Anyway. I've updated this mod which was actually broken. It now remembers the actual original map tide across sessions, so when you reset to original it will actually work and this should also fix the progressively lower tide problem. Also increased the maximum range to 20 and fixed the buggy checkbox that kept reverting... BTW, you need to save the city in order for the tide information to persist to next session.
TrialBySnu 27/set./2018 às 7:05
can we get a source one tied to rain? so we can simulate american rivers that flood and make levies important?
Troy Havok 24/set./2018 às 19:03
How well does this work with Real Time? Also Rainfall?
baronjutter 10/set./2018 às 21:41
Love the idea of this mod but had to disable it eventually, same problems other people have: over time the sea level just creeps lower and lower. I turn off "Use initial sea level as High Tide" but it keeps re-enabling every time you load the city and the city/mod ends up forgetting what its "true" sea level is, which is slowly pushed down over time.
AIRBUSADMIRER 20/jul./2018 às 12:11
Sometimes the mod stops working. Why? I mean, I start a map, it works. Close the game and resume it after some time AFK. It no longer works, why?
