hey there, on startup it says "The following HairDefs have misconfigured texPaths or missing textures: CrystalHair1 (from Crystal race)"

its nothing big, and doesnt cause issues, but the only red error in 600 mods im getting on startup, so it would be nice to have it fixed :)

Thank you for the report. This is quite embarassing since if we change our defname, it will break saves. I contacted Crystalloid author to figure out what to do.

There is an incompatibility (I suppose) with Crytalloid Race mod where crystalloid hearts are also named "crystal heart" which give them lockdown ability. Probably just an oversight, not an error.

Their leather is borderline OP. You can also extract their heart, before they are dead, which is valuable as a one shot item or as an ingredient to give your other other pawns their ability. It's also quite expensive.

@NotKevinBacon: You choose the jecstools you want afaik.
@Dongle: I think rimworld of magic uses Jecstools too. You could go dev mode in a new save and test it by spawning a bunch of pawns to check if there is a conflict.

Update:
- Made lockdown available even if undrafted (it should not mess up with the gizmo order anymore, when you want to double click draft)
- Made lockdown crystals refrigerant. They act like strong passive coolers for their short lifespan.
- Updated head and body textures.
- New bionic crystal heart that can be surgically installed on a human or any race that has a heart.

That's what I planned to do at some point, but I went for another mod instead. These guys need an heavy update, including new textures. Since I am working on another mod that is quite big rn, it's not for tomorrow. I wish someone talented and passionate about FTL would draw textures for this mod.

Haven't discovered this selection of mods before now I'm afraid but I absolutely loved FTL, have anyone tried this along with the mod Save Our Ship 2? With these races and the space to space combat you basickly remade FTL with rimworld along with it!

HAR and JecsTools should be before Crystal.
Think of it like a reverse tree. The closest of the trunk, the more fundamental it is, the higher in the list. Crystal relies on HAR and Jectools, therefore it's lower in the list.

@Gouda quiche: I am positive it's the mod. I tried it once more with absolutely no mods accept for this one and the needed ones to run this, jec's tools, humanoid alien race 2.0 and harmony. This is the only mod that gives me a debug log when i launch the game and it's the only one that puts me in a 'generate world seed' loop. Any idea if things need to be in a special order? I know harmony has to be first followed by core, but then i have he crystal mod, followed by humanoid alien races and jecs tools. Is this a bad order?

I keep getting an error when I go to create the world. It looks like the mods are set up right and it will allow me to select the Crystals story line along with they play type. But when I go to enter in a seed and continue it acts like it's loading and them puts me back on the same 'create a seed' page. Has anyone else run into this?

Gouda quiche, I have had similar issues like HellkiteLord with caravans with Crystal race cause the Crystal pawn to disappear. It has happened numerous times in different runs. If I save before the caravan arrives, and try again, it happens again. I will see if I can turn on Dev Mode before the caravan arrives and look for details to share.

Raids are super weird: When raided, the distribution of raid points seemed to be oddly spread out to pawns. One or two crystals would have a doomsday rocket launcher or some other crazy weapon, and the others would be butt-naked and have no weapons. Only happened with the crystal faction. It was often times so ridiculous I'd just dev-kill the raiders.

Lights: I'll be honest, don't really care about this one all that much but I might as well mention it while I'm here. Crystals would just leave a small glow all over the place sometimes. Intended?

But yeah, just wondering if any of this has been seen before and if there's any immediate known fixes. Would love to re-install.

I know without more information, feedback likely can't be given but was wondering about some issues I had with the mod previously. I had this mod installed for a long while. I had three issues with the mod in that time which eventually led me to uninstalling it, which sucks because it looks fun.

No skills: When I'd recruit a crystal they'd have no special abilities. I looked around, couldn't figure it out. Does the lockdown skill only activate when they're attacked? And only when they're a colonist? Raiders would never use lockdown. The one I did recruit was over the age of 20. Is it a passive skill only?

So i found a massive bug were my colonest just vanished when entering an area by caravan (thanks to autosave I was able to keep going) just the crystal colonest the rest acted as normal i could not find any error reports ether so I can't tell you what happen. Was an item stash quest.

I can do something for the disease part. Do you feel they get more birthday than regular humans ? But for the humanlike part, it seems fair to me. They are sentient creature and i guess humans would feel some empathy for such creatures.
