@omba - lol. Yep, I bounce off things into lava all the time. I consider it an annoying feature and counter balance for being able to fit into small spaces without using the ball tech.

Sure, go ahead. I believe Khe wrote that code, so be sure to credit them. Make sure to rename the file so it doesn't interfere or override the original in case it ever gets tweaked in the future.

Hello, I am (re)making a mod for a short race that is ~2 blocks high, I have looked into your mod and it seems your "cat_primary.lua" can help to prevent asphyxiating over nothing. Could I use it for my mod? (with credit and mention of course) . Thank you for taking over this old mod by the way

@Motion, If you have Frackin' Universe also installed, I believe you can with the racial trait ability, much like the Vel'uuish's claws.
In lore, the Tiknass'uut are an uplifted species by the Vel'uuish, so them having similar abilities thematically works (and also the fact that both are cat species).

I kind of wish you could use your claws as weapons.

I fixed this issue below by the way, had to delete mods that add planets and that somehow fixed it

Is there any mods that break the starter planet finder thingy? I tried to play with this race and it just doesn't want to find a starter planet

can you fix the suffocation issue when we as a cat get into a bed or something the game for whatever reason reads this race as in the ground when sleeping

When I create new one it’s works okay but when reload game it’s still gliding but 4 block high

I'm not sure. That sounds like a weird thing. Their hitbox is supposed to be 2 blocks.
Make sure you don't have any of the outdated addons or the outdated mod installed.

Hey dude cookie, can you fix the problem when you use a tent or ground bed with cat race, the cat begins to lose oxigen and can't still sleeping or will suffocate to death.

What's the /spawnnpc species command?

Forgot to add-- you can *also* do this with hair, though given how the sprites are, that'll be a little more difficult, but you could use it for facial markings, perhaps.

Here's the race I'm working on, which has around 50 programmed colors to work with, there's literally no limit, the tedious part is just programming in all of the colors.

The fur patterns are all one option, you can only cycle between those eight, and then there are four eye types to cycle through. That's your main color, and then the undy color. Each of those can have as many colors as you want, but you have to program in every single hex code. So, it'd be possible to have a tortiseshell cat, a siamese, and a mackeral tabby all on the same base, it would just be a matter of mapping the fur patterns pixel by pixel as I've done with my race, and yes, it's as tedious as it sounds, but the results are definitely worth it.

That's on my eventual-to-do list. Making sprites and animations is rather hard, especially for non-humanoid species.

I'd change the species file, but that would break every single character and I would have a lot of people angry at me. That's the same reason I didn't change it even when I first took over, even though I changed many other things about them. Oh well.
