@default oatmeal, its the VJ base bloodpool, this mod doesnt contain bloodpools.

@lenny i prefer the VJ Base bloodpools, it looks more like the blood in these images and i remember the bloodpool looking that way in black mesa (idk if it actually had bloodpools but i remember it having some)

@cyber It's a U.S.S. agent from Resident Evil. There's a few model packs on the workshop that have them.

Those are just the Left 4 Dead blood decals. Very basic, there's a bunch of addons for it already. However I've been working on a true Left 4 Dead blood decal port. All of them are actually missing a small detail that I caught. I'm also playing around with AI upscaling and remastering them.

I'm aware of that.

Turns out that that the "materials" folder I put the files into isn't actually the one containing the base game content. The latter is entirely missing from the GarrysMod folder as a whole, unless some update changed the location of the base game content.

Well, I created a new folder in the materials directory and put the desired .vtf and .vmt files there. No change took place.

You don't have to turn it back into a .GMA - you can simply put the new .VTF and .VMT files into your materials/decals GMod directory.

At least I want to edit the addon files so that it only contains the blood textures. I already know how to extract it using gmad.exe, but I can't figure out how to turn the edited addon file back into a gma file.

Unfortunately I can't due to the way the Black Mesa team formatted their texture file(s). I have tried to remedy this issue in the past for personal use, but sadly I was not successful.

I don't know if I said it before, but any chance you can release a version of this addon with only the blood stains, impacts, and splash decals? (And the alien blood too; seriously, nobody ever seems to release alien blood replacements around here). Some of us would like to keep them in our game WITHOUT the ugly bullet holes.

It wasn't easy, but I actually managed to fix that issue today. All decals are now consistent with Black Mesa's.

Do you think the red blood decals from BM are just modified versions of the default HL2 ones? Could that be why the addon ones appear as the HL2 one when splashed on props, while the rest of the blood decal addons on the workshop don't have this problem?
