better, there is a free and legal way to get CSS content for gmod via steamcmd so you never have to complain some gmod addon requires CSS content

@maximmax42 Glad you have some form of common sense, that`s good to know, and sorry about my original reaction as well. I know replacing textures is easy because I`ve built a few maps, I just don`t have the software to compress/decompress the file for the map. In the happening that I did have the software, I`d do it myself.

You didn't do it, but you say "it's quite easy, I think"... It's like "hey, can you make a game for me with *this* and *that*? I'm sure it's quite easy, but I never did it myself".
And btw, I don't have this soft too, and I don't know how to use it, I didn't create this map, I just UP-LO-A-DED it. I can get to know how to replace textures, but... well, I will replace it for this map, but what's about tons of other maps that requires CSS as well? Will you ask their creators to change texs? I don't think so.

Yeah, $10 is really expencive just for textures if you won't play the game, I understand (no sarcasm), but... But... wait. Did you say viruses? Wherefrom? From SteamCMD ( OFFICIAL Valve's app)? From your friends (well, this makes more sense, but use antivirus and that's it)? That's stupid.
And as I said before, if you will download this CSS content, you will be able to play many gmod maps without... umm... all this crap about replacing texs, I think it's easier and more profitable. Also you will be able to connect to any TTT/DarkRP/even Sandbox server, because they use CSS as a source for various models, texs, sounds, etc.

What the fuck? All we`re asking is for a few textures to be changed to the half-life 2 textures so we don`t need to worry about viruses or buying CSS for 9.99$. Is it really that hard to replace like 1-5 textures on a map? I think not. It`s quite easy to replace textures, and I know this for a fact. I`d do it myself but I don`t have the software to do it with.

2) if you mean EP1 or EP2, no, but you can ask your friends who have this game(s) to send you gamefiles (episodic/ep2 folder), HL2's textures are already built into the game

So those two things SteamCMD and CSS Dedicated Server supports other Gmod Workshops that requires CSS? And is there a Half Life 2 one as well as I've seen other Workshops that not just requires CSS but also HL2?

I agree. I have no intentions to buy CSS! Why can't you release the same map but have the CSS textures substituted by default Gmod textures?

Not flooding my computer with viruses, thats whats easier.
