cant get the miner to do anything not sure if this needs a update or if i doing something wrong but the miner does not want to do anything

@Bartek 97 thanks, i think if you could try the big block to build a drone. At the begin they wrote the script for large block ship. at that time it also worked fine in this ship but also not really well. Yes the efficiency for small ship was slow. But just cool to look them working hard. But i think at that time for docking the ship had no problem. After so long time keen has already changed a lot of APIs and parameters. I think the script also needs a big fix.

I was trying yo fix this script. As for now I repalced outdated API's and code check gives no errors. At this point I am able to scan and add asteroids to database and send miners to work and they fly to the asteroid. The problem is that they fly very slow (within range of work speed), but mining is even slower - at peak it is 0,2 m/s. Docking to the mothership is also pracyicaly imposible - drone is trying to orient itself in right vector but it is incredibly slow (gyro override at 0,02 rpm or less).

i am getting this error. Program[716,33]: Error: There is no argument given that corresponds to the required formal parameter 'items' of 'IMyInventory.GetItems[List<MyInventoryItem>, Func<MyInventoryItem, bool>]'

can you fix this error. i think it is preventing the miners from operating.

I can't figure out what i'm doing wrong. the lcd won't respond when i press the keys at all. and i don't know if i've set everything up correctly either. i could really use some assistance.

@Schwarzengel: Hey thanks for replying that fast ;) Sure, no prob. However I took my hands on and it seems it is now able to dock again, more bad than good and I leave it to you to get it to work but I tried :D Nevertheless, good work!

@Schwarzengel: Great Script ;) However I faced a big problem while trying it today. It simply doesn´t come back if it mines and you choose dock and if you try to send dock shortly after you send it by using work it aligns with the docking port but doesn´t dock.
Mybe you can have a look on it.

Wow this is awesome! I wanted make some thing like this but on wheels. I made a mineing drone on wheels. But no defense drones yet as can not figure how to automate it with out mods :-(

But this is space evrsion of what i wanted to make :-) Hopeing to use this to try to make mine work "my drones".

Another note, no-one has mentioned it so it could just be me but it looks like the script was written with a bunch of illegible characters on my client? I wanted to change some of the naming conventions as they are cluttering my HUD with '?' symbols :)

@Ace Lightning Because my mother ship use the rotor-thruster control system .When you build ship with out rotorsystem , you don't need to log out .

and the damage remains even when there are no minners (or components )only mother ship and program

@Ace Lightning that one is the component of the miner ship you can use them to build ship. And when you get it off and restar the program and the "damaged" will disapear. for dock you need to wait them back.

i am having a few small problems
1,my program picks up a non existing miner at co-ords 0,0,0 and say its damaged and i cant get rid of it (even in an empty world with no minners in it)
2when the minners return they dont seem to dock straight onto the conectors

@Angry_Piper small ship dont's need timer, your motehr ships need the cockpit with the name like my cockpit or you can copy that cockpit on to your ship.

Edit: Got one to follow commands, but I can't figure out what the sensor triggers? Timer block isnt showing any actions for me on your drone. I assume it's something to set the drills up?

First off amazing mod!

I built my own mother ship and it works with copied versions of your drones. But when I make my own mining drones they don't work.

The programme detects them and they show on the list but they won't obey any commands. It just constantly says Stop as their status. Any ideas why this might be happening?

I have a programme block running the script + remote control. Timer block running the script repeatedly and the sensor set up. So what am I missing on the drone?

@Vandal you can give the command of follow they will follow your ship at the distance of 150.

@Schwarzengel Is there a way for the mining drone after being given the command to go work to completely clear the ship and then go mine? I'm testing possible setups and, at the moment, have the drones docked in an open hanger. When I give the command the drone makes a direct route toward the asteroid and wants to drill through the ship.

Would it be possible, as an example, for the drone to be docked, I give the command to go mine, the drone pushes clear of the ship by lets say 20m, and then goes to the asteroid to work? Is this possible to easily modify or will this be something for the next version? Other than that, this is an AMAZING system! Great work!

@springs you need to run the programmable block with the argument OnOff. Each activation of the command will toggle the control of the LCD screen

I'm trying to build my own mining ship but i'm having problems. I can get it setup and it will pick up any connected drones but i can't control the LCD.

is there anything else that is required for self setup?

when the programmable block is triggered to run, is there a specific argument that needs to be entered?

I've been at it this entire time in my world lol. Okay this is the problem I am now having, I am trying to create my own ship and my own drones. I added all the blocks from the platform to the large ship; camera, cockpit, LCD, remote block, timer, program block; and small ship connector, program block, remote block, sensor, gyro. I named everything is the same I didnt not change the names on the platform for the ships. When I recompile the program the miner wont show up on my list, I changed the name of the program block on the miner to MS_Computer and then it will show up on my drone list but it will not do anything. Im not sure what Im doing wrong, you drones on my ship will work though.
