I see - it's strange it's not in the basegame now. Just like putting one single bed to 2 other single beds making it a tripple bed. For example. Instead of having a Tripple bed. I started a run and after 8 days everyone was everyones lover... sheesh.

@thorgarr what version of rimworld are you using, this is an old mod for .17 I have not updated this mod to the latest version but there are other mods that do the same thing.

I am having difficulty making this mod load properly, when i load it, it does give the beds a new subcategory, but all the buttons are large red X's and they are unusable.

I'd suggest renaming the mod to "Polyamoury Beds".

so this works with the polyamorous trait from "Psychology" also works with "addition traits" Pervert trait, this makes for a fun set up where i have 3 people in a sorta love traingle, where one is dateing both, the second is a pervert and dosnt mind shareing a bed with both, and the third gets a negative moodlet for shareing a bed, but not the larger one for wanting to share bed with x

@Turianel I really dont know. All I did was add larger beds, I have not changed any codeing for how beds work and dont actualy know how to do that. I suppose you could place some sleeping spots and just have no one use them.

all 4 my people sleep on quad bed, but system think, i do not have enough beds. how to fix this?

UPDATE: Added a couple of Quad beds. Fixed the gold part of the royal bed not looking gold.
Changed pillow textures for small royal bed - please give feedback before I change them all.

@sidfu1 your saying that if you have a couple in a 3 person bed that they still have the "want to sleep with x" debuff?

If that is the case then it would take some deeper codeing than I know how to do.
The number of people that can sleep in a bed is complealty dependent on the size of a bed. So the only real diffrence between a 2 person bed and a 3 person bed, is that the 3 person bed is 1 tile wider.

nice but doesnt count as bed for sleeping together for married people even for just 2 people for the 3 size beds

@requiemfang. So on the More Furniture mod.. the new items like end tables work just like vitals moniters; for which you have to add to a list of allowed connectables on the bed its self. Since the bed from this mod had the same definition name the base game bed, the patch from More Furniture that told it to accept the end tables etc.. worked. All beds that were created spicifically for Polygamy Beds are not effected.

I have uploaded a version of this mod where all of the applicable beds are linkable to the More Furniture addons.

As a note, not all beds are connectable, this is for balance reasons. Sleeping spots, Fabric piles and sleeping mats will not connect.

Ran into a slight issue with the mod, The More Furniture Mod has items that give bonuses to beds, medical and what not that improves stats related to the bed, restfulness, infection rate, healing, immunity, ect. The simple bed that's in the furniture tab gains these bonuses the changes to the double bed and the other additional beds don't gain these bonuses.

lmao i've been researching everything that gives access to a work bench of some sort trying to find where the recipe for bed frames was,... and it ends up being something i had from the start and never use in my games ahahaha. guess I better go build a crafting spot!

Special beds are just a vague term for the Super Muffalo 9000X (working title) and the Megasloth Medical Bed they both need research and are expensive beds but are very comfortable and good

@Ookami I am planning on uploading a version of this mod when it first came out with only a 3 person normal and royal bed that would just have the beds be made out of stone steel or wood

Added Sleeping mats, a slightly more confortable version of fabric piles. Higher mass (+10) and higher mat cost. Still great for camping.

Adjusted the draw size for piles of fabric to be more inline with actuall size.

Added megasloth hospital bed. Requires research.
Tail area changes color to match construction mats. Main area changes color for medical and prisoner use.

Some one should do that...

I would assume you'd have to make a special mod to allow for marriage between more than one person.

I have no idea. The only time I have ever experienced a time where a 3 person bed might come in handy is when I have a couple where 1 person cheats. and both of the cheaters partners want to sleep with him/her.

How to make three people get married?

The mod has 3 versions of beds that do not require frames. and 2 that do not require cloth at all. I'm sorry that this mod dosent fit what you would prefer, but the crafting of bed frames will not come out. Its actually intended to help people, by not requiring wood for every bed, while still allowing beds to be built with diffrent meterials.

The base game beds discrption list a bed with a matress, and yet they are built with only wood, stone or metal. It dosent make any sense, and in the case that you do want wood only beds, they are avalible. by the time you need a bed better than that you should have some sort of cloth, wool or leather.



I can reccomend [sd] good night for beds, its a great mod, and dosent touch base beds.

I'd love a version of the mod without the bloody crafting change, it caught me completely by surprise today and I'm going to have to uninstall this mod until it comes out. Previously the mod was great but with cloth being so hard to get your hands on early in the game it breaks earlygame and adds even more crafting to an already full of crafting game which absolutely isnt necessary, its still nice and I appreciate the attempt to add more depth, but for myself with the amount of mods I use the addition of extra crafting for something simple like a bed is unnessecary. Otherwise the mod is an excellent addition

Important update notice:

Bedframes are created at the crafting spot. See above for more info.

Side note, materials used to create bedframes have no effect on beds. Its just an option for convenience.

Ok, I put the normal bed back into the beds tab. It might take a while for this to actually update in your game. Untill then you can find the bed in the furniture tab.


I am planning on changeing the way beds are crafted. Beds will be crafted with a frame that you can choose to build out of wood, stone or metal. and then your choice of wool/cloth/leather.
Not all beds will be this way.
The reason I am going to do this is because with the current system I can eaither force players to use a spicific resource such as wood, or let them build a bed compleatly out of any one thing.

It looks like the bed just moved back to the furnature tab. I'll get it back to the beds tab tho.
