how does one clear the data for this? i keep starting up my gamre and it says something about the supression visualization fiz causing issues, and it doesnt seem to be part of the workshop

what is the mod code for this mod? i need to properly remove the files so it doesnt conflict with highlanders and its causing me issues

Hey, Kregano! First of all, thanks for this mod - this already saved my hide enough by making Suppression usable at all.

I was wondering if, by any chance, are there any plans to update the similar Area Suppression Visualization Fix by Reality Machina to WotC now that the LW Perks have been ported over.

The issue seems to be same - weapons added via RFA mod, for instance, will not (visually) fire when using LW2WotC_AreaSuppression. Using the non-WotC version results on a CTD upon launch.

Can someone give me the file name in the workshop folder? I unsubbed and deactivated the mod, but I don't think it deleted it out of my workshop

I checked the Mac Community Highlander's upload date, and based on when it was uploaded, it should have this fix built into it.

BTW, how does one knows whether a fix has been integrated into highlander yet? I am running lots of fixes with MAC highlander and am not sure how to check that. Thanks!

i also downloaded lots of mods and when i tried launching it kept saying the same crash msg and then i tried removing the mods i thought wer the cause,when i finally have the remaining mods i used bfore the lots of mods downloaded it stil giving the same bullcrap only by deselecting all the wotc mods was i able 2 launch the game,i xit selected my usual mods and it gave me the same ♥♥♥♥ so i finally decided 2 uninstal and then installing it again if this doesnt work goodbye wotc 4 the rest of my life!

Also you can put that function just below the posttemplate, it'll work. Your main will call it. You might have to call it explicitely though like

AbilityTemplate.BuildVisualizationFn = class'X2DownloadableWhatever'.static.SuppressionBuildVisualization;

@kregano I just checked your source, you change abilities. Take my Free Drop and Pick mod for a good template on how to change abilities easily.

Abilities have only 1 copy, no need to make DifficultyTemplates.

@ADVENT Avenger: I'm just not sure whether some of the stuff that works for abilities will work for something that technically isn't a listed function.

@kregano Feel free to scrounge in my own stuff for inspiration or any other modder, you can just call every template one by one and make your change in PostTemplates the same way. If youre changing weapons youll need something that uses DifficultyTemplates keep in mind. Theres 4 copies of every weapon 1 for each difficulty in the templates.

@DC: I had a partial update to Suppression Weapons for Halo Weapons Medley cooked up, but I haven't published it, and my computer is now in a plastic bag in case my windows bust open and water floods in.

@ADVENT Avenger: I've seen a few different methods for doing ability stuff with OnPostTemplatesCreated, but I'm not sure which would be best. Any recommendations? I'm thinking creating a separate edited template .uc file and having OnPostTemplatesCreated call that function would be best, but I'm not sure.

@kregano You should convert this mod to PostTemplatesCreated, AmbientNarrative now causes a lot of issues. I converted all of my mods.

A few mod questions also Cylon styled Spark parts. Could be 3 models. Also when I was in the Army I used a m16a2 with m203, is it possable to have a Hvy Assault rifle that has a single shot possably reloadable grenade launcher? If anything maybe restrict it to a class that could normally use the grenade launchers.

So I think I just ran into somthing there isa new "Weapon Pack" being put together by a mod author looks like he is combining some of his weapon packs.

Name of the new Pack[Wotc] Halo Weapons Medley

I am using this new pack trying to cut down on my mod number, lol not having much luck. But to the issue it looks like the new repacked mod weapons are not being given the suppression skill and effects.

@DC: Like I said, the issues only crop up with secondary weapons, but for all I know, that's the game's weird problems with load order/config files acting up again.

Seems to be working I have only played a few missions with this Fix but haven't ran into anything as of yet.

@ADVENT Avenger: If the shotgun's a secondary weapon, it will probably try to suppress with the rifle instead. If the shotgun's a primary weapon, it'll use the shotgun and its firing animation.

It's what i was asking, if a class can use both shotguns and rifles and it has suppression will it be grayed out? My instinct tells me its still going to try to suppress with the shotgun

@ADVENT Avenger: I haven't seen any shotguns suppress unless they were specifically given the ability through mods.

Can you still suppress with a shotgun? Did they fix that or is it as vanilla?
