Ubermosh - introduction & gameplay
Ubermosh consists of 4 classes (including the 'no-class mod' with neutral stats);

  • Warlock:
    • Uses the best weapon from the game from the start;
    • Only had two lives;
  • Kensai:
    • Uses the bullets deflecting blade as his only weapon;
    • Has the highest survivability with a total of six lives;
  • Gunner:
    • Has the passive ability (obviously) to auto-fire;
    • Has three lives;
  • No-class Mod:
    • Starts without a gun;
    • Has a total of four lives
Blade Saint
Becoming a Blade Saint is easier than you would expect. The moment you start to feel those game mechanics your score will go up.

When you're aiming for highest score, I recommend you pick the neutral 'no-class mod'. Due to his capacity to fire the best weapon (unlike the Kensai who is limited to his sword) in combination with the highest amount of lives of all classes not counting the Kensai (being 4), his survivability allows you to reach a high score more easily (this included the 7 x 200+ achievement 'Skill, not Luck').

One condition for this is the player's capability of not losing any lives between the start and the moment he picks up the best weapon. Getting shot twice before even starting your screen mayhem will deteriorate your chances of a high score.

The rest of the classes follow similar guidelines to get a high score (either for the sake of the high score or for the pursuit of the achievements);
  • Find the best weapon (it's the red cannonlike gun, you'll know it when you use it);
  • Avoid getting shot until your find that gun;
  • MOVE AROUND! Do not ever stand still;
  • Shoot in all directions. It's not advised to stand in a totally open space but rather in a space with some debris in between, that way you can shoot all corners/areas of the screen faster with less stress. Screen control is key.

As for the Kensai-achievement, it requires a special note due to the fact that it plays completely different with its rather defensive agressive nature due to the bullet deflecting mechanism, requiring you to get shot at in order to rank up the kills.

I have not achieved this particular one myself, but it is noteworthy to share that my highest scores thus far with Kensai (which was near 140...) was with something in your back. I usually stand up against a wall and hence play stationairy in contrast to the other mobile classes.

If one finds an easier method to obtain the Kensai-achievement, I'm happy to add it into this guide with a special thanks to the contributor. It's the sole achievement I've had trouble with. It's an excellent game, even though I only played for about two hours ^^ .

I got the Kensai just now, the trick is to keep on the edge of a horde of enemies and reflect shots back in the group.

That's what I do it seems like you have to randomly shoot every part of the screen or else you get gang banged Left 4 Dead style

Udpate: I only did well when my screen was lagging down to 30 FPS, but 60 FPS it was so fast I would die quickly, controller is definitely required, with keyboard and mouse it's completely unnatural, you definitely need a double analog setup in order to do well in this and get 500+, once it started running at 60 FPS instead of 30 I kept dying on 30 and gave up, when it was lagging down to 30 FPS I was able to get almost 200 usually

As I played with mouse & keyboard since I was a child and only started using a controller like two years ago, my dexterty with a controller would bottleneck my abilities :)

About the moving around a lot, I personally found it a lot easier to move around actively when you have the best gun . Just spray & pray all around the screen and make sure you maximize your range without leaving any gaps. I should have included a video. I reached +200 very easily.

I completed the Kensai class mod achievement, I do not remember exactly how and when I did it but I do think I got lucky while moving around actively.

Thanks for the comment ;)

Nice guide can't believe it has no comments
I got 247 on like my second try, after that I haven't been able to get taht high

I need to know, is it easier to use a controller or keyboard? If controller, then D-Pad or Analog?

I don't see how always moving incrases your chances of surviving, wouldn't you just bump into someone who shoots you in the back

I've always tried to keep the vertical parts of the screen covered (since this game uses 16:9 ratio), my weakest class is Gunner my strongest is Lightsaber :cyberscared::magnum_ggc::larva:

Update: Thanks to your guide I got 307 on my 2nd try, I might make a guide too, I know it would be 10x easier with a controller instead of keyboard, but nice guide :gaper::chainsaw::meaty:
