Head to C:Users-user-AppDataRoamingAirshipsGamesteammodsMOD-256493845-Modern Military Weapons PackMG36 mod2ModuleType, then go to "YoullProbablyFindWeaponsHere.json".

In there, all the original names of the guns are listed as they were before the names were generalized.

Ultimately though, it's a tier 5+ tech that requires ~3 branches of research, so I'm sure enough time in this universe and someone could find a way to get enough milage out of some sort of explosion to actually get results against warships. :?
