[A17] Borg Race

Sorry guys, can't update anytime soon.

Hello and welcome to version 1.0 of the Borg Race and Faction.

This mod essentially creates the basis of a borg race structure. There is an enemy faction hostile to everyone who want to assimilate and destroy everything else. There is also the option (using edb prepare carefully) for the player to start their own borg colony and assimilate. See above for some helpful infographics to understand the new buildings.

Only borg can build and use the items that are borg-ey.
Borg eat nutrient paste. That's it. It can be crafted at the borg nutrient synthesizer.
Assimilation probes currently do not break on use, but that will change in the future. There is an exceptionally long cooldown time now to keep players from just spamming assimilation. They are also very expensive.
Future releases will increase variation between the borg armors, body types. I am working on this!



[[HINT]] - If you're getting raided by the borg, prioritize those with the nanite probes. Otherwise, enjoy watching your population succumb to assimilation. ;D

To be done

--Fix assimilation to only affect humans.
--Continue to tweak and add borg backstories, traits, etc.
--More variation on borg head and body types.
--IMPORTANT many many prosthetics.

Love the mod, I am doing first play through and I have a few ideas/notes. The food system is not very borgy. I can't think of an episode where we see a fully assimilated borg eating from a table or relaxing socially. The borg should be fully recharged by their sleeping pods via direct feed. If the nutrient paste machine acted as a storage tank (think of dub's bad hygiene) that was fueled with foods, then it was connected to a pod via a "feed tube" or what ever, like that the borg is given nutrient as it sleeps and you have to keep the tanks full. Then you can keep the paste dispenser with the billing option to extract the meals for long missions but when at base all they need to do is sleep in the pod. It could refill recreation too
Obviously this would be a major overhaul of the mod, but it would really give it that authentic flavor. Cheers, and keep up the awesome work!
