Moving Save Files between Computers
От GrandRiser
For those who want to move saved file games between Computer and doing it manually and if you are frustrated (like me) doing MKLINK using dropbox, or google drive, fear not, this is a "more manual, faster" solution, just using your USB drive.

Obviously saving using Drobox/G DRIVE is faster and more convenient, but setting it up is a pain, I've tried and failed. But using this method worked for me.

How To

Ok so I tried it and it still works exactly how I described it, even with this version. Here is what I did step-by-step:
1) Find the folder by right-clicking "Starbound" in your Steam Library, select properties and then the "Local Files" tab. There is a "Browse Local Files" button which takes you right to where the "/storage" is. Open it.
2) I copied the contents of the entire /storage folder in my PC (source target)
3) I ERASED (IMPORTANT TO DELETE!) the contents of the entire /storage folder in my laptop (end target)
4) I pasted the files into the end target (laptop) folder
5) I launched the game in my target source (laptop) and loaded my character
6) done, everything worked

This is a "workaround" for those who want to move save files between computers, or tired of setting up cloud saves using Dropbox/Google Drive.
Heads up on deleting Config File
About deleting CONFIG FILE:

It contains things like the resolution and key binding, and that's something you may not want to overwrite every time (especially when transferring files from a laptop that often has lower res than PC monitors).

Just to inform you guys that if you delete config, you may reset your key bindings and resolution on your target pc.

Oh yes we skipped the technical part and just assumed user would understand. My bad. Will put yours here.

Step #1 was kind of confusing for me. The source target on my shortcut was a steam URL and not a filepath.

An easy way to find the folder is right-clicking "Starbound" in your Library, select properties and then the "Local Files" tab. There is a "Browse Local Files" button which takes you right to where the "/storage" is.
