T-Rex Max Points

You have to take all abilities that decrease your total trophy points off first.

Now you want to follow the following steps to get max points

1: Scope Positions
2: Place Bait
3: Lead T-Rex to Bait
4: Peg
5: Hunt/kill
6: Get Out

1: To scope out a place, it's best to do this in the observer mode. you want to find a place where you can see max distance using your Nav tool. Note that your Nav tool won't tell you any distance over 1000m. Also note that you will not be able to see anything past 700m besides a silhouette and the sky. The position you shoot from will be your nest and the position you shoot at will be the trap. It's best to make sure your line of sight of the trap will have sky in the background so you can see the outline of the T-Rex you're trying to kill. If not, you will be blind firing. Pick a nest that's high up, so a tall rock you can climb on to avoid predators.

2: The purpose of placing bait is for the T-Rex to stay in one location as you shoot at it. In order to place the bait, the easiest way is to fire one round into the air to aggro the carnivores. Once they hear the gunshot, they will try to go to your location to try and kill you. Make sure you have a rock nearby to get out of danger, or just be a good shot with your pistol when they come. DO NOT COLLECT THE YOUR KILL

3: After the bait is placed, you need to lead the T-Rex towards the dead dino. you can do this by finding the T-Rex, and aggroing it to follow you. Continue to do this until it is in the vicinity of the dead dino. After he is about 200m away from your first kill, he will automatically seek out and start eating the dead dino. This is your chance to take your shot.

4: Head back to your nest without aggroing the T-Rex by staying out of sight. If he sees you, he will leave the bait alone and not come back to it; In which case you have to create a new bait (step 2). If you successfully lead the T-Rex to the bait and make it back to your nest, do your best to one shot the Rex by aiming for the eye. If you don't get the insta kill (which I often don't) don't worry, your only mission is to hit the Rex from a far distance. Points for your trophy count as your longest shot taken on it, not the distance in which you kill it. After you peg it, stay in the nest for a few minutes because you may have inadvertently aggroed some carnivores toward your position. Kill all predators to ensure your safety after making the first shot.

5: After the Rex is pegged, it's time to hunt it down. Go to the nest where you shot it and follow the tracks to it's location. Be sure to keep a constant look out for Carnivores as they can sneak up on you quite easily. After you track down the Rex, get on top of a rock for protection/vision. Aim for the eye or between the eyes for an easy kill. Remember it doesn't matter the range at which you kill the Rex because you already have points from the peg shot

6: After you kill the T-Rex, stay on top of the rock or cover for a few minutes because you once again may have aggroed some Carnivores. make sure the coast is clear before attempting to gather the trophy kill. After you are 100% sure that there are no Carnivores left, sprint towards the dead T-Rex, collect your trophy, and call in the evac. I usually run back to cover after extracting the T-Rex because i've been kill by a damn omnivore while waiting for the extractor to return.... Play it safe and always get on a rock. immediately call evac and get out.

The hardest parts about this are finding the right positions to make your shot and baiting your trap. It can take a while to do, especially if there are no carnivores around to try and kill you. You can try to scare an omnivore into the trap location, but i've only found this effective if my trap location is easy to reach (Often times it is not). Keep in mind that you have the potential of aggroing a Carnivore every time you make a shot, so play it safe and find a rock every time you shoot.

Good luck out there and feel free to message me for more tips, you have a strategy of your own, or you want to give advice.

Thank you,
