The Basics
WELCOME FELLOW TORCHWIELDER!
If by any circumstance you still have no Idea how you got here, let me remind you
You like torches, torches like you, end of story, or is it?
As a Torchwielder your job is to light up the environment for the host, It doesn't get simpler than that... Expect great difficulties in doing your Job, It ain't easy, just like Pimping, but does it stop both Pimps and Torchwielders? NO! Also this covenant is not a thing you pledge yourself forever, you can treat it as a side job, your character needn't to name themselves in any specific name, you just need to post their "Work Clothes" on this guide below. So anyway we shall proceed to the history of our movement
Long and Convoluted story of Hollows and their Torches
Long ago in a distant land of Lordran the long tradition of Hollows wielding Torches had been started... There in the Undead Asylum, Lower Undead Burg and the Painted World of Ariamis you could find our ancestors

Our Honourable Ancestry... Sniff

Their martial prowess was legendary with regular Torch Hollows being strong enough to Turn a NG+ Chosen Undead into smithereens with nothing but a mere charge...
But their glourious tradition had not ended yet!
Considerably Later, probably two weeks later in the kingdom of Drangleic, deep within the Undead Crypts and at the No Mans Wharf you could find individuals that very well may have molded the movement into its current form! Those Particular Torchwielders are what this Covenant is based Upon, It is our duty to follow their example and enlighten the whole Dark Souls 3 world so that the Undead Curse ends and everyone will live happily ever after with butterflies and sunshine and all those friendly things! Or not because as some Youtube Jackass said, "There are no Happy endings in Dark Souls"... But will it stop the Hollow Torchmen Revolution? NO!
WE SHALL SPREAD THE HOLY LIGHT TO LOTHRIC, WITH OR WITHOUT THEIR CONSENT, FOR LIGHT IS A LAW, NOT A PRIVILEDGE!
Your Tools of Enlightenment
As a Torchwielder your weapon of choice must obviously be a Torch, sadly FromSoftware did not anticipate our love for those lightsources and we're left with two options that are classic Torches, and several more that are more Unorthodox ways of granting enlightenment
1. Torch

a humble torch
You cannot get more basic than that...
Basic Torches cost 300 Souls and can be bought at the old ladys shop
Their prowess in battle is fairly limited but this tool is not a bashing stick
It is a holy beacon of divine light bringing enlightenment to those in need
Your best bet at using this weapon is in the shield slot, where it can be raised High above your head to bask the terrain surrounding you in your amazing aura, upgrading it with Titanite, even though admirable, is of no use though and It should be used mainly as a tool, and even then you may only upgrade it to level 5 and it still deals small damage, however a superior alternative exists

2. Follower Torch

Glourious Follower Torch
This Divine instrument of holy light used for clensing the Abyss from the flesh of many of its followers is your best bet for a lightsource that can also deal some damage
It weighs considerably more than the normal torch and needs higher stats to be wielded at all but it is all redeemed by its actual moveset, considerably higher damage and the amazing skill of breathing flames, like a Dragon, except way more awesome, because it's a Torch
You should be using that instead of the normal torch, unless you're low level or you don't have the Ashes of Ariandel DLC

3. Cast Light

The What Now? You sure as hell are a Hipster for using that one, this is absolutely not a torch
The last way of Illuminating your hosts world is perhaps one of the strangest things to do in the game, using cast light is a sure way to be branded as a special little snowflake for using this spell, however certain weight-tight sorcery bulids may also want to spread the light of god, that is most understandable, however the simple torch usually outperforms that spell...

4. Cleric's Candlestick

For when you want to look all holy, but actually you're just a nerd
This sword molded from the souls of the Deacons of the Deep can serve as a lightsource, however it's a fairly bad lightsource, its illumination is lesser than that of a lowered torch making it obvious that this sword is more of a weapon than a tool, it has a fairly mediocre damage and scaling for anything that's not inteligence, funny thing, you need faith to use it, but theres no benefit in doing that. Has a worse spell buff than the amazing Immolation Tinder mentioned below but it will still do, our covenant is not some kind of bloodshade that demands bleed weapons all the time, if it works it can be used.

5. Scholar's Candlestick

For when you need to prove that your theology degree is absolutely valid
Many sorcerers of Lothric are already familiar with this tool of enlightenment, as it increases the strength of your catalyst. There's really not much to talk about that candlestick. It needs faith to be used efficiently but as many people have already noticed, the buff does not need the stat requirements to work. Making it a weapon that was probably intended for the faithful ones but was instead adopted by inteligent ones

6.Demon's Scar

Why use a torch when you can become a torch?
This here, this is a creative tool, a flame in a shape of a curved sword. It can be used as a weapon, as a torch and as a pyromancy flame. Its greatest strength is its extreamally low weight, only half an unit. This way you can save some of it on other heavier stuff, like for instance Gargoyle Flame Hammer or other really big weapons, and still bring the hurt to the forces of Darkness!

The Following tools aproved by our covenant were added thanks to the inteligence of a Steam User named "Lone Banana" Torch Hollows all around are grateful to you for your assistance!

7. Gargoyle Flame Spear

You're a really creative person for using that
Found in the Profaned Capital, This spear has been glued to a stone torch creating a fearsome lightsource, needing modest stat investment this weapon is great for summoned hollows, can deal massive damages to the enemies of light and thus should be considered a blessing. The phantom range of this weapon is said to be fearsome and its Weapon art stunning, sadly the Torch weighs 9.5 units and is not a great lightsource like the choices above, but this Torch should be reckoned with!

8. Gargoyle Flame Hammer

Heck...
This is a one HUGE torch, Found in the Profaned Capital and ready for wreckage! This glourious stone lantern is a great choice for Strength based Hollows as It scales fairly well. Its weapon art is a mighty wall of fire emerging from the flames of the Torch, not unlike Dragonflames. Sadly it weighs a whooping 11 units, making it one of the heaviest ways of bringing light to the host.

9.Immolation Tinder

Something for both Sorcerers and Hollows
This eternally burning pole with a cross on top is one of the most mystic Torches ever created, being able to blanket the enemy with both flames and sorcery this Torch is most peculiar. Needs points in both inteligence and faith though, however Immolation Tinder scales best with Inteligence, making it a must for Inteligent Hollows. Having a long range and a fairly acceptable spell buff also doesn't hurt, what may hurt is its weight of 10 units. You may couple it with Cast Light spell for even more light! And that is awesome!

10. Warmth

The comfiest pyromancy ever
This pyromancy is an amazing way of healing other people, granting light to the world and a really good heal makes it a perfect combination for a Torch Hollow! Theres one drawback however Everyone gets this heal, even the enemies. So it is best used in beetween the fights with the enemies of light. This pyromancy does not scale with anything and it needs a lot of faith to be used, also you need to give 30 Vertebra shackles to the mound makers covenant to get this kind of magic. But the drawbacks are insignificant compared to the power of the spell!

This part of the guide has been created thanks to a friend called LegendaryLM, we are grateful for your suggestions!

11. Pyromancy as a whole

The flame that everyone should recognise
Remember how we were talking about the Pyromancy called Warmth? Well, why not talk about Pyromancy as a whole? This ancient art, serving as a catalyst for many Pyromancers throughout all of Dark Souls to summon giant balls of inferno is of great use for Torch Hollows. It scales both with Faith and Inteligence making it a peculiar choice, however it offers a great versitility, from dangerous spells to powerful buffs. Sadly this art even though iluminous, is not Practical as a way of enlightening the world of Dark Souls. As most of the flames ejected from within Hollows channeling their power do not stay for very long, you can almost compare it to a firebomb, one small flash of light and BOOM and it's over.
Community Rules and Guidelines

Your duty is to, as I stated before, lighten up the place, you don't need to be in a specific covenant or anything, all you got to do is find a host, willing or not, and then follow him mindlessly while granting him the so much needed ilumination.
    • 1. as a Torch Hollow Invader you take the position of an Invader in Hosts world, so unless he's ganking with his Dried Fingers you're stopping potential invaders from ruining the day
    • 2. as a Torch Hollow Helper your duty is expanded to not only granting ilumination, but to also help the host defeat the many dangerous savages you can find on your adventures, that means you can without any problems kick some asses and chew bubblegum, but since bubblegum is nonexistant in Lothric, you just have to rely on kicking!

a hollow who thinks he's kicking asses, but is instead punching air
    • 3. THE MOST IMPORTANT RULE OF ALL!
is to always trying to be a convinience to the Host, If Host needs to rest at a Bonfire or hasn't taken one yet a TACTICAL SUDOKU might be of use!

      a hollow commiting sudoku
Don't feel bad about the souls, if you're Hollow you already lost yours and theres nothing that can help you overcome this!
About Areas that may need your Sick Torch Skills (Work In Progress)
As you may already know, Lothric is a big and dangerous place, it's filled with DEMONS and MONSTERS and a lot of smelly people. But It is your duty to bring enlightenment to all, no matter how bleak the odds may seem. This part of the Guide is about where to go and on which level. This list was compiled by our most dutiful of hollows, its every line is composed of TRUTH
tm
and TRUTH
tm
only!
  • High Wall of Lothric
The most basic of basic places, the general consensus is you can start pretty much without leveling up anything at all. Recommended level is up to 20 with little to no weapon upgrades. The invaders in that area are usually equipped with dangerous weapons of the dark... Thread carefully...
Later in the game you gain access to a lift leading to a Darkwraith, but we fear not the darkness, we destroy it with our cleansing light... Kill the Darkwraith often, he deserves it...
  • Undead Settlement
Roughly considered as the area where the "Fun" Begins, There you can meet more variety in bulids. From 20 to 25 should be the level to go, don't forget that upgrading your weapon here beyond +2 is a dealbreaker. You can find some catacombs with a bunch of skeletons in there, braving those catacombs is greatly appreciated as no dark place is beyond our grasp.
  • Road of Sacrifices
A fun place, really... Two giant crabs, fellas with huge sticks and a bunch of campfires... You can very easily find a host in there. weapon upgraded up to +2 and staying in between of 25 and 35 level should be of much gain. It's a fairly small and forgettable place though, so no hints, save one; beware the hostile fallen knights.
  • Cathedral of the Deep
The preferred location you go to after your playthrough through Road of Sacrifices, your torch can really shine in here, it keeps away the respawning Hollows, It scares away the Maggots, and you can gear up for your escapade to the accursed Farron Keep.
Deep is a thing they belive in, as everyone knows, Gwyn is the true god, so killing all the clerics is the preferable way of dealing with the forces of Dark.
  • Ashes of Ariandel

  • Farron Keep
Arguably the worst area of Lothric, it is a posioned swamp filled with strange time anomalies and most annoying enemies, however you can find some sick loot in there, such as the Rag you can place on your face. This area, which has a great need of torches, and the above mentioned Cathedral of the Deep are fairly similar in level, so try to stay in between level 35 and 40 and keep your weapon upgraded up to level +4
You can find more Darkwraiths in there, and you know how to deal with the forces of Dark, don't you?
  • Catacombs of Carthus
The dark hallways of the Carthus Catacombs are the perfect area for the illuminous reach of the torch hollows. With pyromancies, skeletons, and the Iron Tarkus wannabe, a torch hollow can find many a host in need of light. As with the above Farron Keep, staying within the 35-40 sl range and +4/5 weapons are recommended. Skeletons are just more creatures of the dark, and Wolnir must be put in his place (which is 6ft under).
  • Smouldering Lake
The deepest point you shall venture thus far, this ruin of an ancient civilisation was once serving the idea of Fire and life, much like us. However it has been overrun by terrible Demons, those remenants of the ages past deserve pity from our side, your level should be around 55 and your weapon up to +6. In the deep you may find treasures untold, find the Tomes of Pyromancy written by long lost Queelana of Izalith and the tome hailing from her homeland, drop an ember at the remains of a spider of old, left by all but one, kill the false Iron Tarkus, and end the miseries of an old Demon King... Tis the least you can do...
  • Irithyll of the Boreal Valley

Torch Hollow staring in awe at the city of the accursed usurper, Pontiff Suhlyvan
After you leave the accursed Catacombs of carthus you are greeted by the sight most unholy, a city built upon the foundations of the city of the gods, the fabled Anor Londo. The city is filled with wretches and filth, hating all light and serving the Usurper from the Painted World. If you don't cross level 60 and +7 upgrade you shall have no trouble connecting to other worlds. This land of filth and darkness holds many treasures hidden from your eye, as you pillage it with Greirat, a proud Looter... kill the Pontiff, brothers, we have no need for his ilk in the coming age of fire.
  • Anor Londo
The Holy city of the gods, now abandoned and ruined by the traitorous Pontiff, Once a sanctuary of Light, now a dilapidated ruin, The recommended level for traversing this Londo is from 50 - 60 and your weapon should be upgraded up to +7, Aldritch, the evil master of the Traitorous Pontiff resides in the cathedral in which once resided the Princess of Sunlight, dispose of his filth and recover her sacred relic, also pay tribute to the Giant of old, whose body rests on the left side of the building, recover his embers so that our torches may shine a little bit more
  • Irithyll Dungeon
The Terrifying Dungeon is a place of fear, dread, terror and many other similar words, as it represents the thing that is wrong with this world, our hollow brethren are held there till they become just this bit more hollow and are unable to work in a hollow society, absolutely disgusting, an unwavering vigil is held over theese hollows by the horrible Handmaids, whose visage is so ghaslty, it saps the health from every man who dares look at them. The recomended level for traversing theese dungeons is 55 and the weapon is up to 7, your duty as a torch hollow is getting rid of these accursed Handmaids, their unholy forma threatens any and all hollows, find the pyromancy witch locked deep inside the dungeon and recover the most sacred relic of all... The Pickaxe... A weapon with a lineage linking back to the hollows of yore
  • Profaned Capital
The great citadel of the very tall hollow named Yohrm, this hollow was such a nice fellow he sacrificed himself for his other fellow hollows who created the most wonderful egalitarian monarchy that was their kingdom, well... until this uncanny flame burnt all of them into crisps. That was unfortunate, but their civilisation left us the most powerful torches. The level is again recommended at around 55 and your weapon up to 7. Be mindful of the poisonous swamp that spreads beneath the ruins, and the hand golems that dwell inside of them. These accursed creatures were surely the leakage from the disgusing Irythyll! As a dutiful Hollow you should exterminate them! As for the very tall hollow, go and have an audience with him. Since he was a great guy surely he will listen to our pleads to ascend the throne and allow us to enter the Kiln of the first flame later on!
  • Lothric Castle
The Castle of the current ruling family of the Lothric dynasty, a place filled with
  • Grand Archives
  • Archdragon Peak
  • Kiln of the First Flame
  • Dreg Heap
  • The Ringed City
