While there isn't an abundance of settings, we do have some options.

Multiplayer via Steam/Discord should be disabled, when enabled, this will constantly run a server on your game for your friends to join which causes lag

Resolution should be brought down
Zoom Level should be increased
Texture Limit should be enabled
Monochrome Lights should be enabled
◘ Your game should be in Fullscreen

𝕊𝕥𝕖𝕡 𝟙. Right click Starbound in your library, then click "Properties", then "Browse Local Files", and finally click "Local Files."

𝕊𝕥𝕖𝕡 𝟚. Click on the "storage" folder and look for a file called starbound.config, opening the file up with your default notepad will cause it to be all jumbled up so in order to fix that, download something called "Notepad ++[notepad-plus-plus.org]". After downloading it and setting it up, right click on the config file and click "Edit with Notepad ++", you'll be greeted with an organized interface.

𝕊𝕥𝕖𝕡 𝟛. There is an option called vsync that you need to scroll all the way down at the bottom of the config to find. Once you see it, it'll say true beside it, replace it with false then save the file. Close the config out once you're done.

𝕊𝕥𝕖𝕡 𝟜. Go back to the main Starbound folder and before you do the next step, you need to find out whether you have a 64-bit or 32-bit system and in order to obtain that information, you need to click on start and type in either "This PC" or "My Computer". Right click on the result and click "Properties", a window will pop up and there will be a line that says "System Type". Next to it you will see if your PC is either 64-bit or 32-bit, close that window out and depending on what you have, go in the "win64" or the "win32". (In my case, I have a 64-bit but it's all the same so don't worry.) Now before we change anything in the 64/32-bit folder, make sure to create a backup 64/32-bit folder just in case, so once you've done that, go into the original 64/32-bit folder and right click on the "Starbound" .exe file and click "Properties". Head on over to the "Compatibility" tab and make sure to check "Run this program as Administrator" and "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings" or "Disable fullscreen optimizations". After that, click "Apply" and "Ok".

Other things you could do

◘ Clean/Defrag your computer
◘ Set your computer's power option to High Performance
◘ Go to Adjust the appearance and performance of windows and tick the Adjust for best performance option
◘ While Starbound is running, go to your desktop by pressing the windows key and head into task manager. Right click on Starbound and click Go to details. Right click on Starbound again and hover your mouse over Set priority, click either Above normal or High.
◘ Delete entry paths to steam in Regedit and disable Xbox DVR

NOTE: Be cautious in the Registry Editor, if you accidently delete something and save the changes then you could potentially harm your computer. I am not responsible for anything that happens to your computer.

In Regedit, follow this path "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\AppCompatFlags\Layers" and delete any entry that has a path to steam, in case if you find no recordings there then follow this path "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AppCompatFlags\Layers" and delete any entry that has a path to steam.

Xbox DVR is something that drops your FPS on Windows 10, there are two ways to disable it.

#1 - Search "Xbox" on 'start' and open the app, log in/sign up if you have to and when logged in, click the three horizontal lines on the upper left of the window and go all the way down to the bottom where it says "Settings", there will be tabs on the top underneath the word "Settings", one of them is "Game DVR" Click on that and tick "Take screenshots using Game DVR"" to turn it off.

#2 - Go to 'start' and type "run" in the window, type "regedit" and press enter. Once opened, follow this path.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER/System/GameConfigStore/GameDVR_Enabled/

Right click on the "Default" and click "Modify", set the value to '0'.

If you can't find the GameDVR, then just follow this path instead and do the same thing.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/PolicyManager/Default/ApplicationManagement
/AllowGameDVR/

last but not least, blocks cause little to no lag, while entities do. Having a really beautiful building will not drop your FPS down nearly as much as having 10 NPCs or projectiles on screen will. With most computers. 20 different animals will bring it to its knees. Gaming PCs can handle this but once you get to around 100 projectiles (like my coconut milk gun) it will immediately destroy your framer ate until those objects are destroyed.

Also I would suggest using an SSD and a geforce 10 card or better, but for those who don't have a decent computer, the Defrag option is actually very helpful. Texture limit and texture atlas are useful for graphics cards that have little to no video memory. Disabling Steam/Discord integration only helps when the CPU is the bottleneck.

The Linux version just straight up runs much better, probably because of how much more optimized OpenGL is.

Regarding the mods files do I need a specific file for the thread files of cpus and such or only a single one is going to be done and fixed?..
or if I install all of them will they al lbe fully enchanched to having a multiplexing structure of separating as to ahve all of this working programs reducing and making the game more stable?..:o
