Okay so first step on our way is the theme. My first tip is to think of your interests. For example if you watch anime, you can create an anime profile or if you are into some game you can create something related to it. Also the colour is very important so choose the colour you really like. Nickname or your alias is probably the most important thing on your profile. I suggest that when you want to give yourself a nickname try choosing a name that no one has or at least a small amount of people have.You want something unique and something that people will remember. Okay, so once we have our theme and nickname, we can start making our profile. First thing we wanna do is find a profile background that matches the theme. This is a really cool site with all backgrounds on it All steam backgrounds[steam.tools],also there are some guides that have already picked you the best backgrounds and I will list them down below too. Let us consider now that you have found a background you like and you want to see how it looks like. I have one amazing site for you to try that out. It is called Steam background cropper[steam.design]. It crops your background and you can see a preview version of that background on your profile. Also you can download a zip. file of that background since you are going to use it for creating your artwork showcase,avatar etc. I will also put a guide on how you should do that and link to that site. One more cool thing with this site is that you can crop it however you like. There is a lot of people who wanna know how to create long image showcases and how to upload them, so i will put an explanation down bellow.

To have a really good profile with loads of showcases you will have to level up. Every level brings you a new colour so if your theme is blue, you should aim for the levels that are in that colour. We will show you the table with levels and their colours. The easiest way to level up is to use bots (links down bellow) or to craft badges which are cheap. We will also put how many xp you need to reach a new level and aproximately how much it costs. The only problem with cheap badges is that you don't know which badges you get so once you are done leveling, craft 4 more badges that are related to your theme since only they will appear on your profile (picture down bellow). Also if you add a new game after crafting those 4 badges, it will show you a new badge with a number of your game so try not to add more games. Also we will show you the guide with lists of some great badges and maybe you find some that will fit your profile.

Okay so you have the crooped background from that site and you should see that it crooped your avatar picture as well. My opinion is that you should use that crooped avatar since it will fit best with your profile. Avatar is something that people can see first when you are in game for example and when you chat with someone they can see your profile picture so make sure your avatar is representable. You can put a logo or a character on it. It is up to you. We will show you some examples and maybe you will find inspiration in them.

Okay we are now talking about the heart of the profile, of your artwork showcase. There are a few ways you can do artwork showcase. Once we have finished our main art we need to also finish our side part of the artwork. Side art can be in form of three separate pieces, or one long one. I suggest you go with a single long one cause it looks more clean and full. Also in order to have clean side art you should cut it with 70 pixels.(explanation down bellow)

There are two different kinds of screenshot showcases. Ones that use actual screenshots from the game and the ones you animate. When you want to take a screenshot of some game you just get into a game and while you are playing you press F12 and it will automaticly take your picture. When you get out of the game it will give you an option to save it or to delete it. You can take as much screenshots as you want.

Main use of Steam's Workshop is for the players who create stuff for games and some tools so they can publish them, organize and let you download them into your games. Different games give you different opportunities for publishing mods and items. For you, the most important is the part where you can use the workshop to publish animated artwork. It will stand in your showcase and give to your profile aesthetics and will go with the flow of the theme. Very important is the fact that the more original the animation is, the more attractive the profile will be to viewers. Otherwise, you have many free templates for your Workshop Showcase to use, but be mindful of the fact that it can give a leak of authenticity.

You can create your own group and you can make it your primary group, but what happens to the other two groups that are under that one? If you want to go into details and check every single part of your profile, I suggest you find some really old groups that are related to your group and to your profile's theme. There is a method where you can add games that you do not own to the Favorite Games Showcase. When it comes to Items Up For Trade section and Items showcase as the title says you put there the items you want. But if you are more into profile customization than trading for example, than you can put something else, something more related to the theme of your profile. For example you can find emoticons that are in form of letters and write your name (picture down below), or you can put some emoticons that fit the theme of your profile (picture down bellow) or even you can put background that you have already in it (picture down bellow).Also you can check step 9 where emoticon guides are and step 3 where backgrounds are since they can help you a lot.



 
 

In this section we included some of the most common questions that people ask.One of them are how to create a ping pong or how to change basic steam profile colour.Also we added one cool trick on how to earn money and get rid of the some items you don't need or have few of them.If you have for example 5 backgrounds that are the same you can turn others in gems.When you earn 1000 gems than you create a pack that you can sell on the market.You can earn usually around 0,90$ for 1000 gems.
