The Last Stand added support for the original L4D1 commons and some specials as well. I think it has something to do with the physics, but I don't really know for sure. Perhaps one day they'll update this mod, but if not there's workarounds.

This mod no longer works. Its causing my game to crash and not all the common infected are replaced.

You can do a sorta manual update-ish to it, though in coop it'll break a tad. I'd say it's best to wait until the author professionally updates the mod; but until then the manual way exists!

Unfortunately, this mod will froze or crash the game when you play The Last Stand campaign.
