[WINDOWS 8-8.1] How to change the graphics' style
By Bio Drando
As you may know this game changed keeped its art style with plain, flat colors during the entirety of its developement, however the shaders and the lightning did change and is still possibly subject to future changes. Many people all have different preferences when it came to what version looked the best, and while nowdays almost everyone seems to agree the latest builds are the prettier there still are some people who enjoyed the look of older versions of the game more.
This guide will help you try to replicate the edgy and dark style of v0.2.0.

Getting started
First of all to change the graphics' style you need to know how to access your graphical settings for the machine you're playing the game on, I'll be explaining how to do it on Window 8 or Windows 8.1 so if you're using a different machine you will have to use use the tool for changing the graphical settings it uses.
Yes, this isn't modding, due to how the game uses completely flat textures we can just change our computers' graphical settings in such a way that the result will alter the picture enough so that the game will have a completely different feel to it, it'll look like a fully fledged graphical update!

Also before you may ask:
1) This precedure utilizes built-in functionalities of your computer, meaning that everything you'll be doing is completely harmless and won't damage your PC in any way
2) You won't need to do any complicated stuff and enabling/disabling the various grahic styles can be done in less than 6 seconds (yes, LITTERALLY 6 seconds!) from your Desktop at any given time, allowing you to activate the graphic setting you created for Gang Beasts before you start it up and then putting the normal graphic setting of your monitor after you are done playing the game

For reference, I'm using a Windows 8 PC with an Inteld HD graphic card, and beacue of that I have access to a quick graphical options Menu that I'll be utilizing for this guide; however anything that allows you to change the graphical settings and create pre-set prophile with graphical settings you saved and stored should work aswell.
Recreating v0.2.0's graphics
v0.2.0 had less bright and less vivid colors, it also used slightly darker shadows than normal and the characters' shaders were much muore intense, with the characrers having a slightly darker shadow and even easiy-to-see gloss all over them, so they were pretty similarto the characters we have now for that matter. However in the Gondola, Containers and Grind grind stage they all sported really dark shadows and that, mixed with the gloss they already had, gave the whole game a new great look as even the stages kept the darke shadows and stages with a lot of artificial lights like Incinerator and Grind really benefit from the dark shadosas they GREATLY increase the atmosphere and make every fight look 200% more epic thanks to the dramatic effect created by the menacing shadows and more "hardcore-looking" stage; but it turns out other stages also benefit from this look and the whole game feels more"mature" and grown up, it's a great style for serious matches.

Like before, click anywhere on your Desktop with the right mouse button and hower over "Graphical Properties"; then once the "Intel Graphics and Media Control Panel" window appears click on the top-left pick with the flat screen monitor and the laptop that has "Display" written on it.
You should proceed to the next page and have the "Display Settings" section open like before, again click directly on "Color" on the top-right corner and you'll see the rainbow rectangle, a red rectabgle, a blue rectangle and a green rectangle with the sliders under them again.
We'll keep acting only on the already selected rainbow rectangle, let's go alter the value of the 3 slider again but this time they'll be different, you'll want to give EXACTLY those values to each slider:
Brightness = -10
Contrast = 57
Gamma = 0.5
Now click on Advanced to access the advanced settings for the Colors (it's on the top-right corner, right under Colors) and you'll see two sliders, give EXACTLY those values to each of them:
Hue = 0
Saturation = -6

Done? Fantastic!
Now click on the "+" down in the middle of the window like we did before to save and name our newest graphical profile.
Try giving it a recognizable name like we did before, something like:
- Gang Beasts v0.2.0
- Gang Beasts dark
- Gang Beasts edgy
Activating/deactivating the graphic styles
Of course you likely don't want to have the graphical settings you made for Gang Beasts as they are made exclusively with the game in mind and they might make all your other activities on your computer look really weird and unpleasent, therefore you'll want to activate and deactivate them before and after you play Gang Beasts.

To do that right click on your desktop and then hover your with your cursor on "Graphical Options", then on "Profiles" and choose the one you wanna use for playing the game.
If done correctly the screen's brightness and the intensity of the colors should vastly change.

After you are done playing do the same thing: right click on your desktop and then hover your with your cursor on "Graphical Options", then on "Profiles" and pick the basic one with the pre-set graphical settings for your computer (usually labelled as "Standard").
