How to skip all the intro videos (make the game start faster)
By HailToTheThief
This guide will show you how to make the game start up faster by removing the intro videos such as the cutscenes and epilepsy warning.

UPDATE: They have now added a feature to skip all the intro videos like the nvidia logo, the ubisoft logo and the epilepsy warning etc. You can now just press esc to skip through them, rendering this guide kind of pointless sadly :(. But if you can't be bothered pressing esc every time then this guide is still for you! :)

Step 1. Find the files
Follow this file path to find where the videos are located:
Local Disk (C:)
Program Files (x86)
Steam
steamapps
common
Wildlands
videos
Step 2. Renaming the video files
You have now located the video files:
Nvidia.bk2 (this is the nvidia logo video)
Ubisoft_Logo.bk2 (this is the ubisoft logo video)

Now, all you need to do is rename them. I just put an exclamation mark on the end of the file name so I can easily see which files I have edited in case I want them back (which I probably won't)

Now you have removed the annoying ubisoft and nvidia intros from the game. But we can rename some more files to speed up the start of the game.

Next, you can get rid of those cutscenes that always play when starting up the game. Sure, you can hold ESC to skip, but it is better if they just don't appear at all. Rename the files VIDEO_EXPERIENCE.bk2 for the Operation Kingslayer intro, VIDEO_GLOBA_000.bk2 for the Sueno intro and VIDEO_INTRO_GAM.bk2 for the Santa Blanca intro.

Finally, you can rename 2 more files. Go into the folder called TRC. You will now see a lot of folders of different languages. Choose the folder for your language. You can rename the file Epilepsy.bk2 so it gets removed. (If you do actually have epilepsy make sure you are aware of the warning.) You can also rename WarningSaving.bk2 to remove the intro that tells you what the save icon looks like.

(PS, when the game gets an update or if you redownload the game, these files will go back to their default names, so you will have to rename them again.)
The end!
Thank you for reading my guide. If you found it helpful, please like and/or favourite the guide! I find it quite annoying to sit through all these intros and removing them definitely makes the game start up faster.

Still works just fine. Hitting esc takes too long at my age. 😁

What's wrong with just pressing space 3 times? are we too lazy to do that?

Thank you. I like this. Also, I just searched for *.bk2 instead of navigating folders.

Nice... btw I´d like to suggest 2 improvements
1. location can be shortened.. "Steam >steamapps >common >Wildlands >videos"
2. write-protect files.. in worst case you can just delete the newly downloaded version ^^
Enjoy the game ;D
