Adirondack

Descrição
Welcome to Adirondack, a land lush with vegetation and towering mountains. On either side of the pennisula lies the Buget Sound, and on the eastern side lies Adirondack, the 1,024 meter tall mountain, overlooking the entire map.

Many cliffs and rolling hills lay within the play area, allowing many different and intriguing levels of building.
Take note that the highways and rail lines end right on the 5x5 tile border, so you will either need to extend the highways to your liking, or get the 25 tile unlock mod.
This map was inspired by the surrounding landscape at Seattle, Washington, USA. Mount Rainier is the most prominent point in America, summiting at 14,410ft above sea level, with Puget Sound 45 miles to the west. Dense forests surround the cityscape thanks to the abundance of winter rainfall.
The Alaskan Boreal Theme by me is an optional recommendation, but it does look nice with the map and was also built with it.

Have fun and happy building!

Yeah, the map theme thing is a just a bug. As long as you know you subbed the theme, it's there. Sometimes you'll have to click on the theme before you load up the map. Glad you enjoyed the maps!

Now I understand! Thank you! I will install the other one. In the meantime, I had installed this one and build a city in the middle of the map just to see. I don't know WHERE the people come from with no highway connection but it didn't affect the city being built up! :) Only thing was despite installing the recommended Map Theme when I went to play the game it would say it wasn't installed. But thank you for the reply and the beautiful map!

It means the connections are there, you would just have to design the layout yourself. Meaning, full customization of the highways, you wouldn't have to bulldoze anything to get them the way you wanted.
But I would recommend my newer Adirondack map as it is much prettier and more organized than this.

I'm new to downloading maps - when they mention having to "connect the highways yourself" does that mean if I use 81 Tiles (because I prefer to unlock it) that I wouldn't be able to use this map because people wouldn't come in off the highway?

OK Thanks! Just tried this one and roads were very messed up.

I also live near Puget Sound so I know about the cliffs, so it's not supposed to be an imiation, just inspiration :) ( I would've done a heightmap in that case)
I'm glad you enjoyed my map!
